A couple I work with are getting married. They are bog lovers of all forms of wildlife.

WIBU to give them this as a wedding gift?

Can recommend a Monkey World adoption - someone adopted Paul the Gibbon for me and DH when we got married (we love primates too!) and we can go and see him at MW any time we like. Alternatively, you could adopt Beni, the fat little orang from Orangutan Jungle School, just Google 'adopt Beni'.

As for cuddly monkeys, I think there's a replica of Jane Goodall's first ever soft toy, a chimp called Jubilee, available on her website. Money goes to sanctuary in Tanzania (I think...)

TipsyToasty · 04/07/2019 23:39

Why would you buy that? It’s terrible, really really awful

TipsyToasty · 04/07/2019 23:41

Actually I think this must be a gag question and you’re messing about

Shooturlocalmethdealer · 05/07/2019 04:54

Well I love it! Cute as a button lol

Sensational thread

LadyOfTheCanyon · 05/07/2019 05:27

Dude, are you high?

ImogenTubbs · 05/07/2019 05:52

Why don't you sponsor an orangutan for them? Have a look at WWF or Born Free.

redcarbluecar · 05/07/2019 06:01

I think they’re beautiful. I would want two though.

crispysausagerolls · 05/07/2019 06:12

My concern is that they only come with those casual clothes - can you buy a few alternatives for when, eg, they need to be formally attired or go to the beach?

SubisYodrethwhenLarping · 05/07/2019 06:25

🐒

Downunderduchess · 05/07/2019 07:12

Why don't you pay to sponsor/adopt one through WWF or similar? Essentially making a donation in their name? I would love this.

Downunderduchess · 05/07/2019 07:14

@ImogenTubbs just read your post after posting mine!

NotAsDrunkAsYouThinkIAm · 05/07/2019 09:09

@redcarbluecar So you think the twins is the best bet?

OP posts:
redcarbluecar · 05/07/2019 09:28

Maybe yes, but as the occasion is a wedding it might be nice, and appropriate, to get a ‘couple’. They could pretend to mate.

NotAsDrunkAsYouThinkIAm · 05/07/2019 09:37

Honeymoon companions kind of thing. Good thinking.

How about these? In adult clothing obviously, otherwise it would just be very very wrong.

I think you should be a professional shopper @NotAsDrunkAsYouThinkIAm

redcarbluecar · 05/07/2019 09:54

Adult clothing, definitely. Are there specialist shops for that kind of thing?

Livelovebehappy · 05/07/2019 10:01

For a birthday present maybe okay (I think it’s cute!) but not a wedding present. I would think wtf if opened that on my wedding day tbh.

crispysausagerolls · 05/07/2019 10:25

But OP they need a CHANGE of clothes. So the adult clothes are great, obviously. But they need an assortment. Perhaps in a little suitcase?

NotAsDrunkAsYouThinkIAm · 05/07/2019 11:10

Ah, crispy, good point. They'll need a wardrobe each to keep them in too.

ThighsRelief · 05/07/2019 11:13

Is it a doll? If so I hope it's one of those shitting dolls.

NotTheMrMenAgain · 05/07/2019 11:24

It's as creepy as hell Confused

crispysausagerolls · 05/07/2019 12:12

But where will the wardrobe go OP? Where will it go?!

KarmaStar · 05/07/2019 12:39

I love all animals up wherever they live, but this is really ugly.not even ugly cute.
I would say you are definitely unreasonable to give this(to anyone).
Sorry.

MissLadyM · 05/07/2019 13:00
