What are you eating for dinner in this heat?

We can't find the keys to the garage so bbq has been cancelled. DH has bought a rotisserie chicken which we'll have with salad and baguette. No way am I cooking. Actually, I might make a coleslaw.

Neighbours are having pulled pork and all the trimmings, their kitchen is an inferno!

We had jacket potatoes

BBQ and wine. Well, we've started the wine, bbq not yet lit so it might be cheese and biscuits 😂

Fish and chips!

Kids and DH had new potatoes, baguette with a Brie salad.

I had the Brie salad but no carbs 😇

Picnic dinner. Pizza slices, bread sticks, baby mozzarella, carrot sticks, grapes, beetroot cubes, watermelon slices. Kids loved it.

Salads. Boil potatoes, shake in butter, salt and pepper and leave to cool.

Oven roast salmon asund stick in fridge.

Later make a plate of lettuce, toms, grated carrot, olives, feta, etc., balsamic. Add the above. Witness heaven.

We had a bbq! Sausages, burgers, pork belly strips, corn on the cob and salad. Twas a delight

KFC and birthday cake.

Chops, new potatoes and salad.

Veggie Thai red curry.

Chicken nuggets on a bread roll with mayo and a bit of lettuce. The glamour!

Sushi, takeaway version

We had cold pasta with pesto and mozzarella. DP had a chicken breast with his too.

Minty lamb, Greek salad, salamis, cheese, foccacia (bought not homemade). Dp and I are going to eat it all with some wine, probably over a couple of hours.

BBQ... In the rain.

Pizza, garlic bread, coleslaw and potato salad

Had a pretend BBQ earlier (salad, sausages, kebabs, burgers, corn on the cob, olives etc. But cooked inside because actual BBQs are a faff) and didn’t eat much then as didn’t have much of an appetite and still don’t really, so we’ll probably end up with beans on toast or something.

DS had cereal and fruit because he’s just breastfeeding loads with the warm weather and it would have been a waste.

Lamb steaks with broad bean and courgette salad. It's awesome and low carb if you are that way inclined.

Butternut squash tagine and couscous.

Curry 😬

Steak, baked potato, tomatoes, and quartered onions on the side. They are presently baking in the oven.

I will microwave some peas and cook some mushrooms on the hob as my husband is cooking the steak in the griddle pan.

(Sides should really be new potatoes and salad in this heat, but hey)

I've made Eaton mess for pudding. I've also got some ice cream to serve with it.

Teriyaki salmon.

But its really not hot here.
