We can't find the keys to the garage so bbq has been cancelled. DH has bought a rotisserie chicken which we'll have with salad and baguette. No way am I cooking. Actually, I might make a coleslaw.

Neighbours are having pulled pork and all the trimmings, their kitchen is an inferno!

Marinated chicken wraps with hummus, feta, cucumber, yogurt and pomegranate.

StumpyinSomerset · 29/06/2019 19:26

Nothing.Always lose my appetite in the hot weather.

Vibiano · 29/06/2019 19:29

It's 27 here, we had cheese and biscuits

BreconBeBuggered · 29/06/2019 19:29

Spicy peanut and vegetable stirfry with noodles. DH had venison with green vegetables. Don't think our appetites are affected by the heat at all.

Shoppingwithmother · 29/06/2019 19:29

Beans on toast!

floraloctopus · 29/06/2019 19:29

We got some nice bread and chilled soup but nobody is hungry.

Croprotationinthe14thcentury · 29/06/2019 19:31

Wine if I can be arsed walking for some

ApricotJelly · 29/06/2019 19:31

Crunchy peanut butter on toast. Can't be bothered with anything more complicated.

Skyejuly · 29/06/2019 19:33

Subway salad

NCforpoo · 29/06/2019 19:36

Causa. Perfect for hot days. And also the food of the gods.

HeyMicky · 29/06/2019 19:37

Marinated steak and satay noodle and cabbage salad

Serin · 29/06/2019 19:38

Home made burgers and salads.

Serin · 29/06/2019 19:39

Oooh never heard of causa? What be this?

Amibeingdaft81 · 29/06/2019 19:40

The children - a carrot whilst I was doing dinner, and then pasta, pesto, roasted salmon and a fruit salad.

I had a beautiful plate of steamed veg left to cool, followed by a huge bowl of frozen blueberries and then a frozen yoghurt.

I crave ice cold fruits and simple veg in weather like this

24hourhomeedderandcarer · 29/06/2019 19:41

we eat the same all year round

the only diffrent thing we do in the summer is make home made ice lollies

DrDreReturns · 29/06/2019 19:41

NameChangeNugget · 29/06/2019 19:42

Going out for an Indian

Mythreefavouritethings · 29/06/2019 19:42

Weirdly with the heat, an M & S two for a tenner curry with all the odds and sods. Starving. Might have been the mojito beforehand but felt like something a bit spicy.

NCforthis2019 · 29/06/2019 20:01

Sushi.

ScrommidgeClaryAndSpunt · 29/06/2019 20:02

Chicken tikka biryani. It's good.

notso · 29/06/2019 20:09

Kids had supermarket tortellini with homemade tomato and mascarpone sauce.

I'm cooking some lemon pepper chicken not because I'm hungry but because the chicken needs using and I had the ingredients.
I'm on my second Gin and Tonic and I have olives.

DH is at the pub, he can have either or none when he graces us with his presence.

twilightcafe · 29/06/2019 20:11

Takeaway pizza

delilahbucket · 29/06/2019 20:13

We cooked but it was rather impromptu as we were supposed to be going out and then ended up having ds with us rather than him going to his dad's, so had to cancel. We had burger loaded fries (fries, mozzarella, mini homemade burgers, gherkins and burger sauce) and salad, followed by ice cream. Very unhealthy but better and cheaper than a take away.

MrsMonkeyBear · 29/06/2019 20:13

Steak sandwiches with salad. It's my husband's favourite and I couldn't face spending ages in the kitchen at home after the 8 hours in the inferno that was work.
