What are you eating for dinner in this heat?

We can't find the keys to the garage so bbq has been cancelled. DH has bought a rotisserie chicken which we'll have with salad and baguette. No way am I cooking. Actually, I might make a coleslaw.

Neighbours are having pulled pork and all the trimmings, their kitchen is an inferno!

Ice cubes. Just a pint of ice cubes 🥵🥵

A sort of thrown-together hot salad of chickpeas, spinach, red onion, cherry tomatoes with a bit of black pepper, sumac and oil.

The kids has a picnic tea of bread, cheese, mini sausages, cherry tomatoes and avocado

*warm salad, rather than hot. I'm distracted because I am too hot!

I had rice mixed with loads of cucumber, cherry tomatoes, grated carrot, avocado, spring onion, mint and parsley and dill and some chopped chicken breast.

And now I'm having watermelon and strawberries that have been soaking all day in creme de cassis.

A magnum !

It's got to be curry. So hot you lose the power of speech.

I'm not too bothered by the heat so I'm just eating normally - pesto pasta with some veg for me :)

DH had cottage pie and peas with loads of gravy.
[nothing puts him off a "proper" dinner!]
I had a tray of roast veg and 3 chipolatas - just chucked it all in the oven together.
Going to have a mini magnum now and DH had a large helping of trifle.

Was. Gonna be quiche, salad and use the last few chips and wedges up
But cpuldnt be arsed to make the quiche.

Ham and a hearty salad with some crusty bread.

Cheese and crackers

Made chicken risotto, I still haven't cooled down. If it were just me, would be happy with salad, grrrrr. Looking at house prices in Antartica.

How are people switching on the oven in this heat 😲

I can't bare to cook .
Our kitchen leads onto the conservatory which is baking I don't dare cook and make it even worse

We had pulled pork in rolls with salad. Ate it outside, very nice it was too, cheers DH 😀
