I am still in awe at how powerful his voice still is...
There y'go, he's talking now Smile

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/06/2019 22:13

He's obviously read your post @Bearbehind

LaLaLamp · 30/06/2019 22:13

I hope they do A Forest

Herefortheduration · 30/06/2019 22:13

Dear younger people, older people aren't just going to fuck off because you've come along, we'll continue to do the things we enjoy regardless of whether you want us to or not. When you get to our age you'll be pleased we paved the way for you.

JaneJeffer · 30/06/2019 22:14

Anne Grin

StoorieHoose · 30/06/2019 22:14

As long as they do Boys Dont Cry I'll be happy

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/06/2019 22:14

Yes the ones that gabble on just don't have the music to speak for them.

Paddingtonthebear · 30/06/2019 22:14

I’m watching The Streets who are on the other stage. Doubt there is any one more off their face at Glastonbury than Mike Skinner. It’s next level.

HoppyHop · 30/06/2019 22:14

YABU. Live and let live! I would love to go to Glastonbury (I'm over 40), it's for all ages. But I wouldn't go to Parklife for example as the average age is definitely younger (...and there are very few bands I'd want to see there!).

tomtom1999xx · 30/06/2019 22:16

Agree Sakura.
Who wants to hear them talk?
I want to hear them sing.
I hate artists who waffle on for 5 minutes between every 2 songs.

Bearbehind · 30/06/2019 22:17

I’d love to know how many people who are loving this are doing so for reasons other than they are 40 somethings who remember it from their youth.

I still think it’s a shit headline act for Glastonbury.

tomtom1999xx · 30/06/2019 22:17

Ohhhhh TUNE

JaneJeffer · 30/06/2019 22:18

Love this Grin

Justmuddlingalong · 30/06/2019 22:18

Good for you!

Violetparis · 30/06/2019 22:18

I love this song Grin

StoorieHoose · 30/06/2019 22:19

Why can't I find who headlined the NME stage in 1995 ?? It wasnt elastica as I previously thought

Herefortheduration · 30/06/2019 22:19

The Cure are rocking this, the crowd are loving it.

JaneJeffer · 30/06/2019 22:19

Bear surely you can appreciate the musicianship and his voice?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 30/06/2019 22:20

Oh yes a band who wrote their own music and can still sing and play it just as well as they always have without the need for autotune and backing vocal tracks with millions of fans are a terrible headliner because they don't utter inanities about loving the crowd for you @Bearbehind

The80sweregreat · 30/06/2019 22:20

I saw a documentary about Glastonbury the other week and Emily Eavis said it's so hard to get the acts together. They have wanted Fleetwood Mac for years but can't get them over. Maybe some demand too much money?

JaneJeffer · 30/06/2019 22:21

I keep turning my telly up louder with every song.

sweeneytoddsrazor · 30/06/2019 22:21

So who would you have chosen then @Bearbehind.

Bearbehind · 30/06/2019 22:22

Nope, I see a bloke with odd hair and make up who’s 40 years out of date headlining the biggest musical festival in the world and think it is actually a bit tragic, like the OP said.

PolkadotLollipop · 30/06/2019 22:22

He’s not really a talker though anyway, is he?

PolkadotLollipop · 30/06/2019 22:23

Each to their own, Bear.
