To have a Past Life Regression session?

Anyone tried this? I can get a one to one session locally for £25 but would I just be wasting my money?

I've had 14 PL regressions done. Some I got a lot out of, others not so much. Make sure the person does healing/resolution of past lives. Not just exploration. If the person takes you into a traumatic lifetime and there's no resolution/healing around it, you will feel pretty bad afterwards.

MeSoTooSo · 23/06/2019 18:38

I saw a very well known regressionist (she was on ITV) back when I was going through a bad patch.

Biggest load of 'woo' crap and waste of money. These people are not trained, they can just call themselves experts.

HeresMe · 23/06/2019 18:38

Complete rubbish don't waste your money, I could make up some stuff about your last life if you want.

Shelvesoutofbooks · 23/06/2019 18:40

You can do past life regressions by yourself at home, just make sure you prepare well and there are plenty of guided meditations on youtube that will help you. Yes £25 is a waste of money

HermioneWeasley · 23/06/2019 18:41

I’ll save you £25 - you were Cleopatra

motheroftinydragons · 23/06/2019 18:41

Send me a photo of you and £100 (I'm an expert I can't print you a certificate if you want) and I'll do it for you.

Or don't. And don't send your money to anyone else either. Con artists looking for your cash, woo nonsense.

KidLorneRoll · 23/06/2019 18:43

Send me £20 and I'll make up some utter bullshit for you right now.

AnneLovesGilbert · 23/06/2019 18:44

I’ll save you £25 - you were Cleopatra

No one ever turns out to be a chamber maid or a farm hand do they, always an aristocrat or someone historically significant.

FadedRed · 23/06/2019 18:46

Half the people who have ever lived on this planet have died of a mosquito borne disease, majority of those of malaria. So the chances are that several of your past lives Hmm ended with a complication of malaria.
Save your money for something that makes you feel happy.

Tableclothing · 23/06/2019 18:46

What were you hoping to get out of it?

The person is a con artist, btw. It is bollocks.

carla1983 · 23/06/2019 18:51

I've had one too & thought it was very interesting. I bet none of the closed minded people on here have ever had one done so their opinions are not exactly well informed.

"No one ever turns out to be a chamber maid or a farm hand do they, always an aristocrat or someone historically significant."

Actually mine was a humble lifetime.

carla1983 · 23/06/2019 18:52

Most of mine were farming lifetimes actually.

PaddyF0dder · 23/06/2019 18:54

It’s a load of bollocks, but if you have the money to waste then on you go.

LaurieFairyCake · 23/06/2019 19:06

They're not con artists Confused

I've watched one being done on my friend (another psychotherapist). All she did was lightly hypnotise her and take her back mentally to before birth.

One of two things happened;

  1. My friend made up a story/made sense of her thoughts about the past according to her own beliefs/thoughts of her past
  1. My friend visited past lives

NEITHER meant the person was conning her. She did nothing that I've ever seen a cold reader or stage hypnotist do - she didn't implant or direct anything

All she did was hypnotise her and guide her - and the guiding consisted of 'tell me what you see, tell me more about that'.

My friend even taped it. Yes, she thinks she visited her past lives.

Me, I've no idea. For all I know they were all her thought. I do know she was definitely hypnotised.

PaddyF0dder · 23/06/2019 19:27

“Definitely hypnotised” = relaxed and suggestible.

PaddyF0dder · 23/06/2019 19:28

It’s also not a surprise that a psychotherapist (hardly a scientific discipline) also does past life regression.

LaurieFairyCake · 23/06/2019 19:32

My friend who was the client was the psychotherapist - not the person putting her under.

LaurieFairyCake · 23/06/2019 19:35

And I watched my friend through the whole thing. Nothing was actually suggested to her - it was all just 'what can you see/hear/smell'

Whatever happened she made it all up or described it herself, it wasn't suggested by the hypnotist

LaurieFairyCake · 23/06/2019 19:42

My friend had five different 'lives' she described. I can only remember 3. One she worked in an abbatoir in the 19th C (she's a veggie so it was horrible), one she was a male farm hand scything with a wife and 4 children, one was some sort of Native American woman who was single and looked after the children in the community - this is the only death she could recall as the community loved her and burned her on a pyre.

She thinks the farm hand had a heart attack when he still had a family to support - she was left with a sense of sadness after that.

KennDodd · 23/06/2019 19:45

So who are these 'past life regressers' and where do you find them? Do they have offices and businesses cards? Is there an association of past life regressers they join? I wonder if they go to international conferences to discuss the latest developments in the past life regression world? Very curious about the 'professional ' you'll be seeing, I wonder if they're fully qualified Grin

teyem · 23/06/2019 19:49

Do we only have human past lives or could you have been, say, a woodlouse? I bet it's not very profitable to suggest someone was a woodlouse.

MeSoTooSo · 23/06/2019 19:54

It's bullshit. As someone who used to believe in all things 'woo'.

Sure, these regression experts may believe in what they're doing, but it's still bullshit.

IHeartArya · 23/06/2019 19:55

A friend had it done years ago. He’s always been terrified of the water. In one he was a small child that drowned, another a monk that drowned. He was fascinated by it. Asked me to have it done but I’m too sceptical wuss

recrudescence · 23/06/2019 19:55

Could be entertaining I suppose but I’d prefer to go to the cinema a couple of times with my £25.

humblebumblebees · 23/06/2019 20:00

www.european-college.co.uk/

They do courses in it so could refer you to someone I think.

I have a diploma myself (yes, I know but it was a funny time) but don't practise.
