Enough to prompt a neighbour to call police?

Bloody Hell !
Will this dent his popularity at all?

JamieVardysHavingAParty · 21/06/2019 20:02

The parliamentary conservative party seem convinced Johnson is a safe bet, and think we'll be okay with anything he does.

It's on the DM now, the comments will be a joy to read, I am sure.

If we're ok with all this - and I'm assuming the majority ARE? - then what's one more embarrassing incident?
There are no standards or rules anymore Sad

Are we ok with our soon to be PM being involved in a domestic 'argument'?
Bluebluered · 21/06/2019 20:07

I’ve reported my own post. Sorry for the outburst.

ShitAtScarbble · 21/06/2019 20:08

I see no untruths in your post Blue

BigChocFrenzy · 21/06/2019 20:10

Will this just reduce - or even increase - his votes in the Tory leadership contest ?

At least as PM he'd have a 24/7 police bodyguard, to stop any domestic dispute getting dangerous

Bluebluered · 21/06/2019 20:12

Yeah but still. I don’t want to go to jail for calling him that. Don’t say anything on the net you wouldn’t say in RL to the person. It’s a scary world.

Krisskrosskiss · 21/06/2019 20:13

No of course not but it wont dent his popularity at all... because the people hes popular with will not care in the slightest and will blame it all on her.

Unfinishedkitchen · 21/06/2019 20:15

Unfortunately this will probably boost his popularity. He probably tried to ‘grab her by the pussy’ like his American cousin.

There are an increasing number of very very nasty people in this country. The type who would’ve brought picnics to hangings hundreds of years ago. The British reputation for being calm, sensible and talkers rather than emotional and violent people is in tatters.

ShitAtScarbble · 21/06/2019 20:15

If everyone who ever called him a fat cunt - and worse - was to be banged up there wouldn't be spare jail room anywhere from here to Outer Mongolia!

StarbucksSmarterSister · 21/06/2019 20:15

He's a total arse but his core supporters will see no issue..

EnthusiasmIsDisturbed · 21/06/2019 20:17

I think there are far worse things that should have needed his career

From what was recorded it sounded like a drunk couple arguing - if it was worse and she reports him to the police then I would hope that would be the end of his dreams of becoming PM

I think what is more likely to happen he is going to be under a huge amount of scrutiny and any reporting will be seen as suspicious and that of a smear campaign against him - which would ultimately be in his favour

And I wouldn’t be surprised if he was part of his own smear campaign

crankysaurus · 21/06/2019 20:21

I honestly think he could get arrested and still win. He's an utter disgrace already and still popular, this won't sway his supporters.

honeygirlz · 21/06/2019 20:23

When contacted by the Guardian on Friday, police initially said they had no record of a domestic incident at the address. But when given the case number and reference number, as well as identification markings of the vehicles that were called out, police issued a statement saying: “At 00:24hrs on Friday, 21 June, police responded to a call from a local resident in [south London]. The caller was concerned for the welfare of a female neighbour.

Wow are the police protecting the establishment? Cunts.

Absolutely. The normal justification, excuses and even conspiracy theories will be out in force. They may even come out on this thread.

-'It may have been a bad arguement, doesnt make him an abuser'

  • 'The neighbours were over-reacting, they should mind their own business'
  • 'It wasnt the neighbours who reported it. It was people who dont want Boris to become PM, so they are trying to malign his name'

It's a tale as old as time
Plus ca change, plus c'est la meme

RoseAndRose · 21/06/2019 20:25

"“Police attended and spoke to all occupants of the address, who were all safe and well. There were no offences or concerns apparent to the officers and there was no cause for police action.”

So, no, whatever happened it won't make any difference to anything

Totur · 21/06/2019 20:25

Is there a recording in the public domain?

Cinammoncake · 21/06/2019 20:27

Haven't the Guardian got a recording?

As for whether it will impact him - that depends if the relatively few people in the country voting him in for PM are likely to care. I hope so!

iMatter · 21/06/2019 20:29

Tory party members won't care

They will excuse it

Hugely depressing but that's where we are going

Butterymuffin · 21/06/2019 20:30

Already knew he was disgusting but hope it makes others think twice.

Love the way that Guardian article says he left his wife and began a relationship with new partner. Yes, I'm sure that was the sequence of events.

TawnyPippit · 21/06/2019 20:32

Interesting. Someone said on R4 this morning that there is one person who can knock Boris out of the race, and that’s Boris.

imgoingtogetyoulittlefishes · 21/06/2019 20:33

The same people voting for him are the same people who agree with Mark Field
