To ask about your OH’s hobby...

So many threads have husbands / partners off doing their unidentified hobby. AIBU to ask what are these mysterious pursuits that our menfolk do?

Mine goes fishing...

*I've had to name change as I think this is too identifying...my husband's hobby is skydiving and it takes up ALL his free time...drives me mad!

I hear you! But not for a few years now. He got his licence in Spain. Diving but only on holidays and following the markets, he's huge into that. NC also 🙂

Piccolo playing (god those things are shrill)

Hockey. Mainly mixed but he's starting men's again.
Reading articles about astrophysicis.
Walking (with me).
Gaming- Civilization types.

Shooting and competing with our dogs... I'm lucky though as I compete with the dogs too, as do our DC..definitely a family affair!

Should add that's shooting clays etc, not the dogs!

I read that as he's shooting your dogs at first 😱 then realised can't be right as you wouldn't be so relaxed about it.

Doesn't really have one, he loves his car so washing that? We like to travel in our free time, weekends away etc so that takes both our time up

Is it really identifying?
I realise swordfighting is far less popular than football or golf, but it's hardly like it's just 50 people in the country that do it.

My brother does sword-fighting and there's several thousand people across the country who participate.

Fencing is a horribly incestuous sport... most people who fence enough to call it a hobby would be in the 600 or fewer who do a decent chunk of the circuit over the 6 weapons and at least vaguely know each other...

I don't really care about being outed, just not easily googleable by my real name... but weapon, number of kids, not London leaves very few possibilities (for who I am...)

For now, he’s a golfer and a bloody good one. I’m rather proud of him. He also enjoys gaming and watching crap tv for hours on end.

I feel abit sad I've just realized that my husband just works too much (which i already knew) and feels tired the whole time hes not at work so doesn't do much else apart from feel tired ready for the next working day :(
