So many threads have husbands / partners off doing their unidentified hobby. AIBU to ask what are these mysterious pursuits that our menfolk do?

Mine goes fishing...

Football (playing and watching) and making music, although what with family and work he doesn’t have so much time for that anymore.

It’s important to have a hobby, keeps you sane!

MsAwesomeDragon · 20/06/2019 22:18

Mine plays computer games. That's it as far as hobbies go in our house.

SandyY2K · 20/06/2019 22:18

To clarify, that's flying a plane, not a remote controlled one, although he also likes that kind of thing too.

codenameduchess · 20/06/2019 22:24

Miniature gaming... he's less into warhammer these days and has become obsessed with fallout and a song of ice and fire.

Also board games in general, he goes out one evening a week and one weekend a month to game, and spends all free time sat at the table building and painting tiny figures and scenery. We currently have a 30 shelf Kalax set up full of the stuff!

Metal detecting
Rock climbing
Bass guitar

Spend hours listening to him talk about all of the old metal he's found. Bless.

BakewellGin1 · 20/06/2019 22:30

Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA) AKA Sword fighting.

whatthehelldowecare · 20/06/2019 22:33

Computer games.

I can hear him right now, playing Fortnite with his friend, he's so into it, it's almost endearing. It's like for the few hours a week he's away playing that, he's a teenage boy again 😂

IvyisGreen · 20/06/2019 22:33

Mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, kite surfing, kayaking, surfing. Although we do some of these together.

ThatsUnusual · 20/06/2019 22:34

Motorbikes.

Otterses · 20/06/2019 22:35

Running.

He hasn't been in two weeks though. A peacock chased him and now he's too scared to run locally Grin so it may be the end of his hobby.

AuntieStella · 20/06/2019 22:36

Falling asleep in front of the telly

Though he'd probably claim something more dashing!

I always assume that whenever a poster refers to a DH's unspecified hobby, it's because she's still in denial that she co-habits with a MAMIL

Lolly25 · 20/06/2019 22:37

@Nanna50
He flies them

RedSheep73 · 20/06/2019 22:38

Model trains and cycling. Nowadays he takes ds with him for both so me and dd enjoy girly time, so I don't mind. He's never been one if those men that takes the piss though.

Lolly25 · 20/06/2019 22:38

@Nanna50
Sorry, should say he is in them as a pilot

IDontDrinkTea · 20/06/2019 22:39

More to the point- what do we (as woman) so as hobbies -and how do we fit them in?

CustardOmlet · 20/06/2019 22:40

Rugby - he coaches an under 7s team. Every couple of years he plays 2 matches and injuries himself then moans about his injury until he plays again and gets a new injury. It’s cyclical.

Computer games - he plays obscure PC games with his friend down the headset.

Competitive shooting, martial arts. A lot of other ones too.

thisismeusernameything · 20/06/2019 22:50

Mine doesn’t have a mystery hobby but the word itself makes my teeth hurt along with the word meal and hubby.

whifflesqueak · 20/06/2019 22:53

Mine is a farm worker. He doesn’t get much free time (he’s still at work now, left the house at 6:30am) but I like to think that driving tractors is a sort of hobby for him.
