To ask about your OH’s hobby...

So many threads have husbands / partners off doing their unidentified hobby. AIBU to ask what are these mysterious pursuits that our menfolk do?

Mine goes fishing...

The gym. 3-4 hours a day at the bloody gym! With running and football on top.

Painting toy soldiers, making battle scenes for them, watching videos of other fellas doing the same & playing war games with them.

Cricket, Darts and 5 a side footie

Gardening and beer. But mainly gardening. He loves his garden.

Golf

Mine plays guitar in the basement, for hours on end. It's alright so long as he doesn't start singing.

Fixing up old cars

Chess, also in a serious way

Mine spends hours building tiny little models and painting them, occasionally he will get together with other creatures as strange as he is and pretend they're fighting.

Table Tennis

Gaming, walking, and making a mess !

Shooting and fly fishing

LARP! (Live action role play to those who dont have a clue - d&d in a field)

My sister has a fab social life through her DH’s cricket club and my friend attends many a do with her DH’s car club.

I’m happy not to go fishing

He's very hands on with the kids but as soon as they're in bed he's gone. It's pretty lonely to be honest I'm a sahm so on my own with kids all day then on my own at night.
I've started just doing my own thing now and seeing my friends at home/getting a babysitter and going out too.

Gaming & football.

photography - my dc have strong memories of being told to freeze in summer photos which as we were in England was a very accurate description :) !
In self defence (waiting for him to try several angles etc) I started sketching & had plenty of time to do this!

Drones - building and flying racing drones. It's all consuming for him. He doesn't smoke, drink or gamble and isn't massively into sports so live and let live I say - as long as he clears all the crap up behind him and stops crashing into me with the bloody things

Football - 11s and 5s including training for 11s.
Gaming

Computer games.

Golf and the gym. I am also v into the gym, but not even remotely interested in golf.

running, he's done 3 marathons and an ultra this year, God knows how many 10k's. He's always training for the next event. It's totally taken over his life, however he's gone from a 24 stone couch potato to currently 14 stone healthier, happier man. Still does piss me off on Sunday's though when dd and I go to the beach and he'd rather run
