To think ‘oh no madonna’

Madge is on graham Norton. She literally can’t move her face and can barely open her mouth she’s had so much surgery. It seems to have affected her speech it’s so bad.
She’s always been so great but it’s all so disappointing that she has fucked with her face so much.

I don’t understand why people give her this adulation. She comes across as incredibly unfriendly, cold, supercilious, brusque - are these qualities to admire in a person? Male or female, old or young?

TrumpALump · 15/06/2019 10:55

@gamerwidow But being able to breathe would have been good. I don't care what she wore, as long as she was able to talk and breathe properly so she could engage in the show. Which she didn't seem able to.

IfNot · 15/06/2019 11:02

Nobody ever really focuses on her music. I think she is an incredible music producer, and doing experimental and interesting stuff at 60. She's much more Bowie than Jagger iyswim.

savethecake · 15/06/2019 11:04

Lots of celebrities cover one eye, it's the "all seeing eye", symbolic of their illuminati satanic worship. Just watch her latest videos, it's all over them.

HasThisSoddingNameGoneToo · 15/06/2019 11:09

I just watched it all. (Link is here: m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWY7Fndhhqw#fauxfullscreen)

I thought she was brilliant! Yes, her lips are insane now, but I loved her oersonslity. She was funny, dramatic, and sent herself up. I bet she's really good fun to hang out with. She didn't interrupt IM; she said two tiny interjections, and Graham brought her into the conversation.

I'm glad. I've always liked her but I thought her Eurovision appearance was awful. Her GN appearance brought back the Madge I've always preferred.

Her bum looks weird, though. I can't tell if it's a bum-lift or a Tenalady.

FancyAPint · 15/06/2019 11:12

Just watched it on iplayer, okay the corset seemed a genuine wardrobe malfunction that made her uncomfortable. What struck me was her anxiety, that surprised me, she did half jokingly say her medication hadn't kicked in yet. I suffer from anxiety so could really feel her discomfort.

redspider1 · 15/06/2019 11:13

She made me cringe. Not funny at all.

HasThisSoddingNameGoneToo · 15/06/2019 11:13

She is insanely famous and has spent most of her career hanging out with gay dancers. She's like a traditional "queen", like in the Netflix Pose series. I like it, it makes me laugh.

I wish she kept that attitude and confidence in her real-life relationships. Romantically, I feel she's always stepped off her pedestal and focussed on being so open and soft and vulnerable that she just got walked over. But that's just my feeling, I don't know if it's true.

FancyAPint · 15/06/2019 11:14

I think she'd be fun to hang out with.

mindproject · 15/06/2019 11:15

Savethecake - exactly. And she's just as much a puppet as the rest of them. She might have a slightly edgy rebellious personality on the surface, but she's not pulling all her own strings.

TrumpALump · 15/06/2019 11:34

Nobody ever really focuses on her music.

Neither does she recently, it more about the persona. It's a shame, she was great in her day, now she's becoming a parody of herself.

savethecake · 15/06/2019 11:35

mind project Definitely, I'd go as far as to say most of them are being controlled. All about brainwashing the masses, it's sick.

gamerwidow · 15/06/2019 11:47

But being able to breathe would have been good.
Yes a bit impractical but she doesn’t strike be as someone who prizes comfort in their clothes Grin

KatherineJaneway · 15/06/2019 11:48

@Stripyseagulls

I saw her at Blonde Ambition too. She was really amazing. I still have one of the tour T-Shirts!

Whosorrynow · 15/06/2019 11:51

She just didn't seem happy or comfortable in her outfit, I feel that was the root of her problem.

MassDebate · 15/06/2019 12:06

I think she was great - she clearly has a wicked sense of humour. Yes she’s had lots of work done and it’s a shame she’s a bit frozen looking, but she properly cracked up at one point and her face does move!

Sheryl Crow has also had lots of work, just not as OTT as Madonna. She’s gorgeous but those who think her face is completely natural are deluded.

IhaveALooBrush · 15/06/2019 12:24

I'm sure she's reading this thread and crying herself to sleep tonight.

Whosorrynow · 15/06/2019 12:28

Those who think her face is completely natural or deluded
I agree and yet we see if this all the time if, you like a particular celebrity the fact that they look 20 years younger than their actual age is seeing as evidence of their greatness and their star quality nothing to do with the fact they've had work done

But if you don't like a particular celebrity they are criticised for the fact they look so much younger than they are.
come on people we all know that the only way to look 30 when youre 50 is to have work done, not necessarily that much surgery but Botox and fillers etc

FFSeverynameisused · 15/06/2019 12:29

I don't think she was rude, but she looked ridiculous. It was really cringey.

mydogisthebest · 15/06/2019 12:34

I read this thread and then watched it on youtube. I am not particularly a fan of Madonna other than liking some of her music so quite expected to agree with the majority on here.

It turns out that I found her quite amusing and not rude at all. She didn't really interrupt Sir Ian, only comment on a couple of things he said and other guests on Graham's show do that all the time. I thought she was being sarcastic when she kind of ordered Graham to pass her the drink.

I also thought she did seem a bit ill at ease probably partly to do with her outfit.

It did some odd that she had not tested the corset out beforehand by sitting down in it but she clearly hadn't. I think she realised, too late, that it was uncomfortable and she couldn't even breathe properly in it. I also think she was uncomfortable about showing that much of her boobs.

I did though think she looked good in the hot pants. I wish my legs were good enough to wear something like that although I would never have the guts to.

There was a Q&A session with Graham and Madonna for fans that won a ballot and I wonder if it took place after the show? I know it didn't start until something like 10.30pm so could well have been. That may have been another reason for her to wear such an outfit.

WhiteDust · 15/06/2019 20:54

'Madame X' ? I think someone wishes she was Lady GaGa Hmm

MadameXX · 15/06/2019 22:01

No I don’t.

I was brilliant on the little show. It was their fault.

shrumps · 15/06/2019 22:14

I didn't see what some on here did. She's funny, sharp, sarcastic, and doesn't give a fuck, like she always has.

WhiteDust · 16/06/2019 07:07

and doesn't give a fuck, like she always has.
Oh she gives a fuck alright!
She's trying so hard not to appear to give a fuck that she comes across arrogant, standoffish and rude.

Forgivable when coming from a teenager but tragic when coming from a 60 year old.

Gin96 · 16/06/2019 07:50

I’ve never seen her look so vulnerable, she is normally so fisety on chat shows, I think she came across as quite a sad individual. What a shame after all she has achieved she can’t just be happy where she is in life
