To think ‘oh no madonna’

Madge is on graham Norton. She literally can’t move her face and can barely open her mouth she’s had so much surgery. It seems to have affected her speech it’s so bad.
She’s always been so great but it’s all so disappointing that she has fucked with her face so much.

As the biggest star, shouldn’t she have been last on?

I guess it depends on your definition of the biggest star.

Madonna seemed to think that was her.

Bluntness100 · 15/06/2019 08:26

I just watched a you tube of it and really don't see what you're seeing op. Clearly she's had some work done but I certainly didn't see the monstrosity you did. I actually think she looks good, although I don't like the Madame x personna with the eye patch etc

She could certainly move her face just fine and open her mouth. Clearly the teeth grille impacted her speech. And the corset made her breathy.

I do suspect she'd been drinking though.

NameChangeNugget · 15/06/2019 08:37

She’s on a massive wind up

Allhailthesun · 15/06/2019 08:39

I think she’s looks pretty good.
Not sure what people expect from a mega famous 60 year old but I’d say she was on track.
I look worse than her and I’m in my 40’s frankly.
She didn’t talk like someone aged. A bit breathy but she couldn’t breathe in that outfit.

mycatismeowican · 15/06/2019 08:45

I'll wait until it's on YouTube . No tv here

WhiteDust · 15/06/2019 08:46

She was stiff & uncomfortable & didn't know which way to sit in her ridiculous outfit.
She also has nothing of interest to say. The other guests were all ease and friendliness and she didn't know how to join in. Really bizarre.

WhiteDust · 15/06/2019 08:47

* Oh, and this : People don't like Madonna because she has limited talent, and a rank personality.*

TapasForTwo · 15/06/2019 08:53

I must watch this.
On another note, I read recently that ticket sales for her shows are slow.

floraloctopus · 15/06/2019 08:53

I was really surprised that she was second onto the sofa, before Sir Ian McKellen. As the biggest star, shouldn’t she have been last on?

Sir Ian McKellen or Madonna? No contest...Sir Ian was right to have been last on.

LaMarschallin · 15/06/2019 08:59

To me, she looked like she was trying to hard which isn't a great look on anyone, regardless of age.
Sheryl Crow looked better because she was much more casual. I'm sure she's had work done too (you don't see people of her age IRL regardless of good genes etc) but were it a bit more lightly.
To me, Madonna looked a touch Joan Collins-y, which is sad when she's always been so style- and fashion-aware.

LaMarschallin · 15/06/2019 09:00

"were" = "wore"

mindproject · 15/06/2019 09:04

The eye patch and the X is Freemason shit.

Heratnumber7 · 15/06/2019 09:11

Is it really mind? Interesting.

Towelsareblue · 15/06/2019 09:14

Sheryl Crow was gorgeous, Madonna not so. She was rude although quite funny at times. Of course Sir Ian was the star though. I think the outfit may have been ok if it had actually fitted her 😬

Buttery81 · 15/06/2019 09:23

Sir Ian McKellen or Madonna? No contest...Sir Ian was right to have been last on.

Really? Sir Ian is great but Madonna is one of the biggest stars in the world... she’s a global superstar and an icon. She should definitely have been on last IMO!

I do think a sharp and immaculately tailored suit, paired with killer heels, would have looked perfect with the eye patch - but it’s obviously her choice what she wears!

lazymare · 15/06/2019 09:23

I couldn't get past the eye patch.

ssd · 15/06/2019 09:26

Just seen this on catch-up, I think she looks amazing, vulnerable yet iconic at the same time. I'm not a big fan but I thought she was great.

Towelsareblue · 15/06/2019 09:27

She may have been once Buttery but I hardly think so anymore

Nonnymum · 15/06/2019 09:29

I saw her, it was very, very odd. Both her behaviour and her looks Very sad, I remember her in the 80s and she was amazing, so fresh and full of energy. It's just such a shame she doesn't feel she can age gracefully.

PurpleFlower1983 · 15/06/2019 09:33

Ian McKellen is always on GN - love him, he’s hilarious! Those saying she looked nervous, she was! She said she was suffering from anxiety at that time. Age makes you vulnerable in some cases and she was honest about that.

augustusglupe · 15/06/2019 09:34

I watched and I thought she looked totally daft in that get up.
However, I also quite like her dry humour and she seems to be able to laugh at herself and came accross well I thought. I actually warmed to her.

IfNot · 15/06/2019 09:38

Actually, I think that Madge came on with other people and not top billing to show she's chilled out about being such a mega star.
She talked about playing small venues, catching up with Boy George ("we go way back") going to live in Lisbon for her son's football career and meeting amazing musicians. She said her older children struggle with her fame and laughed with Sheryl Crow about slagging off men.
She wore a mad outfit because she's promoting her new show/album. She's very mannered and theatrical because. ..she's Madonna! BITCH she's Madonna!
The fact of a bunch of suburban office managers or whatever sitting round tearing her apart because she has the gall to remind us we are all getting older (and most of us could never come close to looking as good) is just laughable.

dayswithaY · 15/06/2019 09:38

I've just watched Graham Norton and Madonna was amazing. She was nervous, which surprised me but she did explain how anxious she was about the new album. When she spoke I thought she was very honest and insightful, I don't know why people on here think she was rude. When they showed the video to her new music I was blown away, compare that to the formulaic dross other artists trot out. The outfit she wore was quite extreme but she's Madonna - she can't be anyone else, what do you expect her to wear?

I hope she keeps doing what she does forever or else we are doomed to a bland series of Taylor Swifts and Arianas or corporate robots like Beyonce. Madonna was a trailblazer and people who are offended by what she wears at her age are just bores who dress in beige. More power to her.

HollySniffs · 15/06/2019 09:43

I thought her eccentricity was totally in keeping with how she's always been. She was doing it way before Gaga and the like. Not sure why she should stop because ... age. I plan to grow old entirely disgracefully, and may even occasionally interrupt a man.

Some people need to unclench.

cookingonwine · 15/06/2019 09:46

Okay sherly crow who is 57 looked fabulous last night ... madonna who is 60 looked interesting to say the least ... I don't think Madonna's outfit did anything for her ... And I think it actually impacted on how she came across because she was so uncomfortable in what she was wearing. I don't think she could breath properly which effected her speech. She kept trying to pull her jacket across her boobs ... I felt frustrated and disappointed watching the show last night. I actually felt embarrassed for her.

Yes she is an amazing artist... and her ethos is about losing inhibitions and making people feel good about themselves and having fun ... but for me on the show last night ... she did not deliver this.

At 60 it shows you can still have fashion nightmares.
