Just interested what you’ve got your dh’s from your Dc for Father’s Day? I was thinking of getting a personalised photo frame but wasn’t sure if that was a bit tacky?

I’m following to be nosey. I’ve just bought him a shirt for our holiday but I really struggle! What do you get a man who has everything?!

worriedmammaof2 · 14/06/2019 22:13

Just a moonpig card.. never got round to getting him any boxers or socks 😂

nokidshere · 14/06/2019 22:14

I always got my two to make him something or just buy chocolate or similar token.

They are teens now and I have no idea if they've bought a gift but two moo pig cards arrived in the mail today

EyeDrops · 14/06/2019 22:14

A big wooden dice with activities on each side (can be personalised completely), e.g play a board game, read a story, etc.

Dahlietta · 14/06/2019 22:14

Yup, Moonpig card here too. Then both DC brought home a card from school so mine is kind of superfluous and I didn't even make it myself.

EyeDrops · 14/06/2019 22:15

Forgot to say mines from not on the high street!

Passthecake30 · 14/06/2019 22:16

A toblerone and 3 large bottles of beer. We tend not to like dust collector things here and prefer token gifts of things we can use..

loudnoises1 · 14/06/2019 22:17

Gig tickets and a 'Daddy is my hero' story book. And maybe a lie in on Sunday if I'm feeling generous ;)

TheFirstOHN · 14/06/2019 22:17

As a joint present from me and the children, I've bought him a DVD box set of Fleabag and an expansion pack for Cards Against Humanity.

Before anyone starts clutching pearls, they are all teenagers and probably old enough that they should be choosing and buying their own gifts for him

DS1 will probably buy him some craft beer.

Spookydot · 14/06/2019 22:18

Dd1:chocolate orange
Dd2:4 pack of his favourite beer.
Ds: daddy mug.

Homemade cards from school and we’ll cook his favourite meal!
I think your picture frame idea is sweet, but I am a sentimental type!

GPatz · 14/06/2019 22:19

Fine art printed photographs of him and the two DC.

WhiteRedRose · 14/06/2019 22:19

A £20 note for him to take our DS to softplay all sunday 😁

tinofbeans · 14/06/2019 22:19

A new hat for camping in Confused

BetsyBigNose · 14/06/2019 22:20

We've got DH a little book from each of the 2 DDs, one is something like "The funniest bits from Mock the Week" or something similar and the other is the Donald Trump poetry book - which I think is hilarious (it's quotes from The Donald himself, from speeches, things he's written and tweets etc. put into poetry form) and a few bottles of locally brewed beer. And obviously a card each. I've probably spent around £15. They've also made something (not sure what, it's a 'secret', apparently...) at Guides for him.

When they're little, I think something like a personalised photo frame and a homemade card is ideal - just think what you'd like to receive on Mothers Day!

TwoleftUggs · 14/06/2019 22:22

Kids ordered their own cards from Thortful. I really hope they’re clean! One bought him a box of sweets and the other a bottle of brandy. Nothing requiring much thought but stuff he likes nonetheless.

WhatALearningCurve · 14/06/2019 22:23

@Dogparty we're going on holiday on Sunday so I've bought him a "foot hammock" for the plane. My sister has one and swears it's amazing ha

happymummy12345 · 14/06/2019 22:24

Nothing yet, not even cards. Will be getting them tomorrow. It will be standard: card from ds and a card from me, and probably a few small token presents, chocolate or something. (Money is tight so can't afford much).

Muchtoomuchtodo · 14/06/2019 22:26

Ds 1 tickets to go to see a t20 cricket match together
Ds2 hotel chocolat bars.

Muchtoomuchtodo · 14/06/2019 22:27

Got my dad a water tap in Africa. He’ll love it!

Justgivemesomepeace · 14/06/2019 22:30

A toblerone.

Pascha · 14/06/2019 22:33

They made cards at school. We made fairy cakes earlier for breakfast in bed on Sunday morning.

Whobloodyknows · 14/06/2019 22:36

personalised card, reusable coffee cup and a phone case with slots for bank cards/cash

TORDEVAN · 14/06/2019 22:37

T-Shirt that says 'you don't scare me, I have 3 daughters'. Some tat from Poundland. And some cards. Disappointingly I didn't manage to get some socks or pants before I had our latest 2 weeks ago. 😅

Bluetit101 · 14/06/2019 22:38

A bottle of aftershave, a top, and a bottle of his favourite gin

SimonJT · 14/06/2019 22:40

I’ve bought myself a pack of beer, a new switch game and a child minder for Thursday night. Perfect!
