Just interested what you’ve got your dh’s from your Dc for Father’s Day? I was thinking of getting a personalised photo frame but wasn’t sure if that was a bit tacky?

My husband went away 6 weeks ago so I can't remember what we got him. It was his birthday 3 weeks ago too so I gave him both Father's Day and birthday gifts. He said he didn't like any of it and has since asked what I'm buying him for Sunday 😳

Florencenotflo · 14/06/2019 22:43

A shirt, some loud colourful boxer shorts (because I liked them) some car air fresheners (he obsessively cleans our car so likes to keep a stash) and Dd has made him something at nursery (which looks/feels like a painted stone) plus a hand made card.

Plus he'll get a lay in. He always makes an effort for Mother's Day so I feel it's only fair I do the same 😂

birthdaymayhem · 14/06/2019 22:43

Handmade cards from both DCs one from nursery and one from local activity group and a store bought card from both of them and DDog (it's become a bit of a tradition for dog to be included).

We've been wanting to put more art/pictures on the walls so ordered a lovely framed photo of him and DCs printed on cotton/linen form not on the high street.
Also DCs handpicked a back scratcher and a stuffed dinosaur and will also include a couple of his fave sweets.
Wrapping paper and gift back also handpicked by DCs last year it was a sparkly unicorn one and I'm secretly a little sad they went for something more Father's Day themed this year Grin

We just do token gifts for mother's/father's day, so card, chocs, craft beers and matching daddy & daughter mugs.

Palegreenstars · 14/06/2019 22:46

Nothing for either my dad or my kids dad. Love them both dearly but not into this at all (nor are they, thankfully, otherwise I would try and show willing if I thought it was important to them.

BillyAndTheSillies · 14/06/2019 22:46

Matching Nerf guns so they can have a run around the garden. DH has secretly been desperate for one.

0hT00dles · 14/06/2019 22:47

Nothing yet! One dc who has chickenpox but I’ve said our eldest will take him to the cinema on Sunday with a voucher she has. We’ve officially postponed it until July here😭

Sparrowlegs248 · 14/06/2019 22:48

Book of cycling routes, and an insulated cup/bottle.

Yellowpolkadot · 14/06/2019 22:52

A T-shirt and a book. Also ordered a cute card involving DD (1) fave tv show. Will go out for lunch locally and if the weather is nice come home via the park 😊

StepAwayFromGoogle · 14/06/2019 22:52

A dash cam. I literally ran out of ideas and he needs one!

StandardLampski · 14/06/2019 22:53

I'm assuming that lurking in the book bags are some delightful home made cards...

Entschuldigung · 14/06/2019 22:53

An alarm clock

Yellowpolkadot · 14/06/2019 22:55

Oh DD has also decorated a photo frame at nursery and bashed some paint and glue on to a card... I guess I should get a picture for the frame!

tigertiger10 · 14/06/2019 22:55

Home made cards. Only.

chilledteacher · 14/06/2019 22:58

Baby did a foot on a plate. Older 2 went for a large PicNMix and 3 Ciders. He will approve

EnglishRose13 · 14/06/2019 22:58

£12 on bloody Lindt "pick 'n' mix" which he's already had because he saw it.

CatsMother66 · 14/06/2019 22:58

DH got me a house plant for Mother’s Day, therefore he is having a Venus flytrap in return!!!

BottomliePotts · 14/06/2019 22:59

A suit and a Otto L cookbook. He needs a new suit and we talked about it for his birthday but that didn't happen, so I've shoehorned it into Father's Day

MsKhan · 14/06/2019 23:01

Tom Ford beard oil.

Howlovely · 14/06/2019 23:02

A book called From You To Me or something. It has a different question on every page so the idea is that dad fills out each page (e.g.. how I met your mother, how I felt when you were born, what I was like as a child etc) and then gives it back to the child when they are 18. Or whenever I guess, I don't think they come with rules 😂 There's a mum one too.

Tillygetsit · 14/06/2019 23:03

A bottle of caramel and cinnamon rum. He deserves it living with us lot!

Yogurtcoveredricecake · 14/06/2019 23:19

Well according to all the mother's Day posts, father's shouldn't be getting anything from their kids unless the kids are old enough to buy it as afterall he's not your dad. Or does that just work for mums? Wink

Anyway, my OH got some biscuits and aftershave. I have no idea if he'll like it but I panicked! Toddler was useless at helping.

AshQ · 14/06/2019 23:23

Just a card.

Poetryinaction · 14/06/2019 23:23

Chocolate, socks and seeds for the garden, obviously!

gingercat02 · 14/06/2019 23:27

Running shorts (boring but useful) chocs and something else tbd
