I think Atlas and Aries could be.

Fawn, Lennon, Lilac, Saffron, Sage, Phoenix... Yes.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 08/06/2019 17:15

Luxe is a brand of soap.

Misty is quite a common name in America. Ditto Brandy. I've never heard of a British woman with either of these two names.

It's purely a matter of taste. And I don't see why the tastes of strangers on the internet would sway your choice one way or the other. FWIW, I wouldn't use one of them. Sorry, but you did ask.

Runnerjellybean · 08/06/2019 17:15

Love atlas and sage

FastnetLundyRockall · 08/06/2019 17:18

"The rest are names I'd give to a dog"
"Please give your child a serious name"
Erm, I have one of these names, thanks. Perhaps I would rather have been a Daisy or Ellie at points in my childhood but now appreciate having a very slightly unusual name.

SmellbowSmellbow123 · 08/06/2019 17:18

There’s a lad called Lennon at one of our schools. My son always calls him Lemon and has done (unintentionally) since Y3

EdWinchester · 08/06/2019 17:19

More wanky than unusual. Sorry 😬

norfolklass · 08/06/2019 17:19

Buzz is cool...it's the name of one of Tom Fletcher's little boys.

Jebuschristchocolatebar · 08/06/2019 17:21

Half of Dublin are called indigo or indi it’s the hipster name of choice. That and bodhi

Nearlyalmost50 · 08/06/2019 17:22

A couple of nos- Lava (really?) Saga (like the company for oldies)., Pluto (ok, a planet as well as a cartoon dog, but not nice enough to justify the potential connotations).

The rest, ok, quite pretty. I like Hendrix as a boy's name.

Leeds2 · 08/06/2019 17:26

I know a Saffron, aged 7, and have the impression that this is quite a popular name at the moment. I also know a 14 year old Phoenix, but he is a boy.
I can't imagine using Saga, as I would associate that with holidays for pensioners.

BrokenWing · 08/06/2019 17:26

I have known 3 women named Fawn, not an especially unusual name.

Most of the rest are more suitable for pets than people.

All of them unsuitable for kids, some great names for horses dogs & cats though

Rooberoobe · 08/06/2019 17:32

I wanted to call first DD Lux but was annoyed by the amount of people who pulled a face when it was mentioned!

AmeriAnn · 08/06/2019 17:32

Bear, Echo, Indigo, Sage, Misty

I know horses and dogs with these names.

Funny story about the dog named Bear. He ran off in the woods and the owners were shouting, "Bear Bear Bear"! These woods are in the U.S, deep in bear country and well, some hikers hauled arse.

BottleOfJameson · 08/06/2019 17:33

For boys I quite like Atlas and Loki, Basil just makes me think of Basil fawlty (and for some reason some kind of mouse/rat but I can't remember why) but that's probably a generational thing.

Not keen on the girls names but I wouldn't be horrified if I met a little girl with one of those names.

Bookworm4 · 08/06/2019 17:33

What’s cute on a 2 yr old isn’t always on a 30 yr old builder 🙄

darjeelingisrank · 08/06/2019 17:34

I have a hamster called Buzz. It's a terrific hamster name.

avocadochocolate · 08/06/2019 17:37

Bear is a nickname for Rupert, isn't it?

Some of the names are unisex. Why is Loki for a boy and Lennon for a girl? If I saw those names written down on a list I would not have a clue on the gender.

When I see Buzz, I think of Buzz Aldrin and Buzz Lightyear.

SausageSimon · 08/06/2019 17:38

Dog names, maybe Indigo but nothing else

edgen2019 · 08/06/2019 17:38

Imagine calling out to your daughter "Echo, Echo, come here" heads would turn in puzzlement. Sorry not keen on any of the names, might be cute as a baby, but a teenager/adult may not thank you.

avocadochocolate · 08/06/2019 17:38

I think they're all usable but they are not to my taste because I prefer more traditional names.

saffy1234 · 08/06/2019 17:40

My name is Saffron, very useable Smile

saffy1234 · 08/06/2019 17:41

I have only ever met one other saffron
