I have my 5 week old grandson for a few hours. This just makes me feel sick. Poor little baby

More info here. Poor baby.

TheDarkPassenger · 08/06/2019 16:04

I also don’t hold any sympathy for this woman. Makes me feel sick and just adds to how much I hate alcohol being around children

DarkAtEndOfTunnel · 08/06/2019 16:05

It happens Aprilly! Smile
There is this question of bystanders isn't there. It happens too frequently. People love to judge for relatively minor things in Britain, but in emergencies few of us feel able to intervene, or are able to do so effectively. How would others have dealt with seeing a 4 week old baby thrown around by a very drunk mother?

AmeriAnn · 08/06/2019 16:23

The mother was seen repeatedly throwing and catching her son Darian Tilby with her sister in a New Quay, Mid Wales, nightclub before taking him back to a caravan with two men she had met that night

Throwing him and catching him at 4 months old? Why didn't someone stop her?

WorraLiberty · 08/06/2019 16:25

AmeriAnn the baby was only 4 weeks old, not months.

MrsMiggins37 · 08/06/2019 16:25

Dreadful woman. Poor baby.

EugenesAxe · 08/06/2019 16:27

I agree with Cruella and Absentminded - the 'throwing about' would have been potentially really damaging... I feel ill thinking about the blood. I guess though that the PM would have shown up damage to the neck if there was any, or a haemorrhage in the brain, so I suppose it can't have been that. An awful occurrence.

AmeriAnn · 08/06/2019 16:27

WorraLiberty Sorry I meant to type 4 weeks old. I'm so mad I can't see straight right now.

Lovemusic33 · 08/06/2019 16:36

I’m guessing it wasn’t a night club at all, they were on holiday so likely to be clubhouse on a site, some allow children in and others don’t, no nightclub would allow a baby in.

And of course people will judge, getting pissed whilst in charge of a baby is just fucking ridiculous.

MrsMiggins37 · 08/06/2019 16:38

The mother has been failed, by her family, by the state, by her circumstance

No, she HAS failed.

Lovemusic33 · 08/06/2019 16:39

No one has failed her 😐

She made the choice to get pissed with her 4 week old baby with her. No one has failed her, the child maybe but not her.

calmpuppycrazykids · 08/06/2019 16:39

For the rest of her life that woman will be haunted by what she's done, nothing anyone says or does can make her feel worse, so let's just try to have a heart.

I hope she is haunted for the rest of her life.
That poor poor baby think how terrified he would have been with that excuse of a mother and aunt throwing him about like a rag doll because lets be honest a FOUR WEEK old baby cant support themselves.
Apparently she was so drunk at 5 am the police had to wake her out of her drunken stooper to say goodbye to her son
yeah she really gave a fuck.
She should have got life and her sister should have been convicted of child cruelty as well

Lunaballoon · 08/06/2019 16:48

Why are people on this thread calling her a “lady”? She’s a pathetic excuse of a human being Sad

ClemClemFandango · 08/06/2019 17:11

Every choice she made that night was really stupid. Being drunk in charge of a newborn just the start. For most parents, who are still obsessed with making sure their baby's head is supported properly, throwing around a tiny 4wk old baby would be unthinkable.

Without common sense, any other decision would have been better for him that night. As hideous as it is, even leaving him in the caravan alone would have been a safer choice for the baby, and at least with that option the possibility of someone reporting a crying baby left home alone could have saved his life.

Monestasi · 08/06/2019 17:12

The mother has been failed, by her family, by the state, by her circumstance

Just fuck off. The only one failed here is the 4 week old baby.

I would shoot the cunt responsible. This vile heinous piece of shit should never be allowed to reproduce again.

pippitysqueakity · 08/06/2019 17:23

I would shoot the cunt responsible and what would that make you?

MarthasGinYard · 08/06/2019 17:35

'The mother has been failed, by her family, by the state, by her circumstance'

What a load of complete and utter bollox

EmeraldRubyShark · 08/06/2019 17:47

Just incredible to come back to this thread and see people trying to contort themselves in any possible way to suggest that this woman wasn’t necessarily at fault for this child’s death. It’s almost unbelievable if those posts are genuine and not wind ups. Absolute shame on you. How have we got to this point where a woman can kill her child through a mixture of abuse (tossing him around) and neglect (getting so pissed she laid on him and wasnt able to be roused until well after he’d been taken to hospital) and people will desperately scrabble for reasons to absolve her of guilt (depression, meds mixing with booze [here’s an idea: don’t drink then], where was the baby’s father etc). I’m kinda incredulous at the lengths some posters will go to and glad to see they’ve been swiftly given short shrift by the many sound minded sensible posters on this thread. It’s disturbing in the extreme what some of you will try and excuse and justify.

IsabellaLinton · 08/06/2019 17:54

I would shoot the cunt responsible and what would that make you?

Someone who wants justice for an innocent baby. A couple of years inside doesn’t cut it.

Two wrongs don’t make a right, they make a comeuppance!

IsabellaLinton · 08/06/2019 17:59

Because to be judgmental is to be avoided at all costs. It demonstrates to others how virtuous and kind and sympathetic you are. Ironically it just shows you lack a moral compass. She deserves no pity or sympathy, that should be reserved for the innocent party, but it makes people feel good about themselves.

feelingverylazytoday · 08/06/2019 18:17

EmeraldRubyShark well said. Some people on here will go to any lengths to excuse a woman's criminal behaviour. It would have different if it had been the dad of course, then it would have been all about Male violence. Disgusting.

ILoveMaxiBondi · 08/06/2019 18:18

I’m genuinely struggling with the idea that not a single person who witnessed her throwing her tiny baby up and getting pissed thought to intervene or call the police. Staff at the clubhouse she was in, other holiday guests. None of them raised an eyebrow? Dread to think how they’re all raising their own DC if this didn’t ring massive alarm bells for them.

Where did the bleeding from the baby’s mouth And nose come from? I know the post mortem was inconclusive about COD but surely they know what cause me the bleeding. And the heart attack? Anything to do with the Guinness, beer and gin in his mothers breastmilk?

millythepink · 08/06/2019 18:56

Let's face it, a woman who sees no wrong in taking her 4 week old baby into a nightclub, deliberately getting so drunk that she cheerfully chucks the baby about, then invites random men back to party with her isn't going to be especially traumatised by what she has done.

The higher primates, elephants, whales have been shown to grieve for weeks after the death of their baby. I very much doubt that this pathetic excuse for a human being will be capable of the same.

XXVaginaAndAUterus · 08/06/2019 19:24

Where did the bleeding from the baby’s mouth And nose come from?

My theory is that the poor mite destined head injury (shaken baby syndrome) weighed being thrown around and the mouth and nose bleeding was related to the brain injury. Sad
