Fucking tragic. What a bonkers idea. Can’t stop clubbing? Needs to take her 4wo baby?

LagunaBubbles · 07/06/2019 23:13

Everyone to pile on here and judge this woman?

Well yes, she deserves to be judged.

They were at a caravan park so probably a club there.

Redhanger · 07/06/2019 23:15

Vile.

They couldn’t prove what caused the babies death so that’s why she only got two years.

As someone else said this baby would have never made it with a mum like that so maybe a blessing he/she didn’t live long enough to suffer any further neglect or worse.

babysharkah · 07/06/2019 23:16

Sometimes judging is deserved. Her state of mind must have been so horrific that she thought that was a good judgement call. She'll live with it forever. Unfortunately the baby won't. Those around her should also be accountable.

carly2803 · 07/06/2019 23:18

that should be murder

that poor baby, what a waste.

actually feel like crying. heartbreaking

overnightangel · 07/06/2019 23:19

-Mother should be banged up for life
-Nightclub owners and staff should be prosecuted

sheshootssheimplores · 07/06/2019 23:21

My god the pain I’ve gone through trying to conceive, the miscarriages and tears, only for this lady to treat her newborn like a bloody handbag. Absolute tragedy, I wish somebody could have had some sense that night and said no.

Sparklesocks · 07/06/2019 23:21

That’s so awful, but in all honesty the guilt and the pain she will have to carry with her now dwarfs any punishment she could’ve gotten

BatShite · 07/06/2019 23:22

Erm, what the fuck kind of nightclub allows 4 week old babies into it? Never heard of a nightclub that allows kids, nevermind babies..and certainly not on a nighttime, nor for people to 'throw' the baby around inside either. This story is disturbing and confusing on so many levels. Poor kid.

Sparklesocks · 07/06/2019 23:24

BatShite from the article it looks more like a disco/club night at a holiday camp than a night club - which might explain why they weren’t as fussed about kids being there

BatShite · 07/06/2019 23:26

but in all honesty the guilt and the pain she will have to carry with her now dwarfs any punishment she could’ve gotten

I don't know. I tend to think this way about accidents, like fatal distraction type cases, or accidentally falling asleep with newborn in your bed as you are so tired. But cases like this? It seems they do not care one bit about the child, so surely wouldn;t feel the guilt a 'normal' parent would.

MrsMaisel · 07/06/2019 23:28

Impoverished human being. Will only refrain from saying more out of respect for the dead baby. This was his mother.

Ginger1982 · 07/06/2019 23:28

Oh I judge. I judge massively...

ILoveMaxiBondi · 07/06/2019 23:30

The mother was seen repeatedly throwing and catching her son Darian Tilby with her sister

What the actual FUCK???

happymum12345 · 07/06/2019 23:30

We do not know anything about this lady except for her actions on one night. Goodness only knows what she was doing. She is remorseful. I feel desperately sorry for all concerned.

Sparklesocks · 07/06/2019 23:32

BatShite maybe, but she’s still a human, still a mother - unless she’s a sociopath I can’t imagine that this wouldn’t haunt you in some way.

Redhanger · 07/06/2019 23:36

@Sparklesocks guilt (as in the kind we can feel) doesn’t come into justice.

Sparklesocks · 07/06/2019 23:39

Redhanger did I say it did? Im not saying she doesn’t deserve punishment because of guilt, I’m simply saying living with that is worse than anything I can imagine.

PregnantSea · 07/06/2019 23:39

Obviously what the mother has done is awful and inexcusable. But I do wonder if anyone else could have prevented this from happening? Surely a lot of people would have seen her and the baby that night if they were out and about. And someone reported that they'd seen them "throwing and catching" the baby. So surely someone, at some point, could have called the police? Even the men whose caravan they were in?

I know, I wasn't there so I shouldn't speculate. I just think it's hard not to ask that question in this situation...

AriaFitz · 07/06/2019 23:40

A club on a holiday park makes much more sense than a typical ‘nightclub’ as to why the baby was ‘allowed in’.

There’s not really any words to describe how tragic what was done to him/happened to him is. Some children have to endure such a lot, it seems so senseless to me.

MrsMaisel · 07/06/2019 23:43

Agree - onlookers should have done something if she was tossing him around in a nightclub, it's sickening.

We're told to speak up in the context of terror etc, looking out for shady goings on in the neighbourhood - but most people have a 'nothing to do with me' attitude if they see or suspect child abuse. No one was there to protect this baby. Shame on them.

FurrySlipperBoots · 07/06/2019 23:44

Repeatedly 'throwing and catching' a 4-week old, like he was a fucking ball. Poor little boy.

She ought to be sterilized. I don't believe with all the counselling, rehabilitation and training in the world she could ever amount to anything more than scum as a parent. But shes just the sort who would go on to have another. And another. And another.

Antigon · 07/06/2019 23:45

Dreadful tragedy. Not sure I like the term ‘maternal selfishness’ though. Not sure why but there seems something sweeping about it.

Atalune · 07/06/2019 23:45

These threads do nothing of any value.

That poor little baby.

The club was a club house, not a night club.

There is a series of events and a whole load of shite circumstances around that woman and that baby that led to the death. The mother has been failed, by her family, by the state, by her circumstance.

The whole thing is unbearably tragic.
