Has he missed some 💊 on his international flight? Who visits someone and promptly pisses on the doorstep? His comments about Sadiq Khan are beyond disgraceful. Disgusting creature.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 03/06/2019 11:15

They are as bad as each other, I think. Not a fan of Khan. Or Trump.

Lweji · 03/06/2019 11:17

He does show his (long term) imbecility by throwing actual school yard insults, though.

@realDonaldTrump

".@SadiqKhan, who by all accounts has done a terrible job as Mayor of London, has been foolishly “nasty” to the visiting President of the United States, by far the most important ally of the United Kingdom. He is a stone cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me......"

"....Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job - only half his height. In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom, and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now!"

Whereas Khan wrote an accurate analysis of the rise of the far right.

"Khan said: “President Donald Trump is just one of the most egregious examples of a growing global threat. The far right is on the rise around the world, threatening our hard-won rights and freedoms and the values that have defined our liberal, democratic societies for more than 70 years."

“Viktor Orbán in Hungary, Matteo Salvini in Italy, Marine Le Pen in France and Nigel Farage here in the UK are using the same divisive tropes of the fascists of the 20th century to garner support, but with new sinister methods to deliver their message. And they are gaining ground and winning power and influence in places that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.”

longwayoff · 03/06/2019 11:17

I'm not surprised, I'm infuriated by him, his minions and the worshipful crappery attached to him. The man's a pig and a disgrace to the USA. To see the draft dodger representing the US armed forces for DD a y makes me furious. He's probably got a speech ready to tell us how he single handed liberated Europe for us. Disgusting creature.

Khan may have started the insults first, but in fairness he's not wrong! Trump is a racist twat.

But surely two adult men shouldn't get into a slanging match like this?

TBH, I am more annoyed about Khan - Trump is a total twat, and I wouldn't be remotely surprised if it was one day revealed that he had the beginnings of alcohol-induced dementia, or paresis of the brain - like Al Capone.

Khan should have just ignored him and let him continue to make a total twat of himself. Everybody knows what he's like, and now everybody knows what Khan's like - so maybe some good has come out of it. Grin

"@Unshriven why on earth would autism be your first thought? Do you know anything about it? Obviously not. Being a cunt does not mean someone is autistic"

Quite, and same goes for personality disorders and learning disabled people for that matter.

FFS, not only is he a knob but now he is indirectly causing other knobs to be rude about disabled people...

Lweji · 03/06/2019 11:19

The point Khan was making wasn't about twattiness.
It's a serious warning about the rise of the far right. I'm glad someone is doing it, because the UK and other traditional US allies are just bending themselves backwards to Trump and his minions.

Bluerussian · 03/06/2019 11:20

He is lacking in social graces, big time.

BiologyIsReal · 03/06/2019 11:20

The majority of politicians at the moment are an utter disappointment. No class whatsoever.

These two are supposed to represent their country and their city respectively.

With all the millions to choose from we come up with Trump and Khan.

Jesus wept.

BethMaddison · 03/06/2019 11:21

Autism ????
Really????

I find that so offensive

Theknacktoflying · 03/06/2019 11:23

Trump is blowing smoke up the arses of Farage and Johnson ... hope it backfires on both of them

Lweji · 03/06/2019 11:23

Class allowed fascist governments in Europe to go unchallenged, leading up to WWII.
I'd rather have no class and call it by the proper name.

ineedaknittedhat · 03/06/2019 11:23

Can everyone just fuck off with the autism insults please. This is the go to insult across these boards and it's grossly insulting and results in more hatred towards autistic people.

We are not imbeciles.
We are not dicks.
We are human beings just like everyone else.

Whosorrynow · 03/06/2019 11:23

Amoral, dumb as a rock and stupid like a fox
That's Trump

MissKittyBeaudelais · 03/06/2019 11:24

Narcissistic and utterly psychotic. Like a modern day Caligula who has his finger on the button and everyone knows he’s off his rocker and they’re all tiptoeing around him, smiling and agreeing.

All about power and no idea of diplomacy/etiquette. Never had to make his own way in the world so he’s had lackeys around him, all his life. I can barely bring myself to look at the news.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 03/06/2019 11:24

Totally agree Lweji - but when things start getting personal (and I admit I'm going off what has been written this thread - I don't watch the news much) then valid argument gets lost.

But i don't think that Trump should have been welcomed here - he was an ill-mannered Twat the last time, and I can't see him chasing, he lies, he's untrustworthy and he's incompetent.

America is not a friend of the UK.

America is not, and never has been, a friend of any country except America. It's a huge economic empire and it's determined to asset-strip Britain.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 03/06/2019 11:26

*cganging, not chasing - sorry.

And he's not autistic - he's just a racist, sexist, mysogynistic, homophobic twat.

SerendipityJane · 03/06/2019 11:26

America is not, and never has been, a friend of any country except America.

I wonder where they learned that ...

MissKittyBeaudelais · 03/06/2019 11:26

I am autistic. I’m also rather clever, am highly trained, have good empathetic skills and have had a long and successful career in a people based field.

Fuck off with the autism connection.

Lweji · 03/06/2019 11:26

Naming names is not getting personal.

Getting personal would be insulting his hair, speech or whatever.

If we are to fight the far right, we need to know who they are. Names must be used, because it's not a virtual entity.

SchadenfreudePersonified · 03/06/2019 11:27

*CHANGING

FFS!

Sorry! I'm a cack-handed typist today

IrishGal21 · 03/06/2019 11:34

Shows how important trump is to the UK..he flew into standsted not Heathrow or gatwick

Easier to unobtrusively deter protesters. There will have been a whole weekend of "black op" roadworks in place. You know ... those odd temporary traffic lights that appear and disappear and you can't quite work out what work was done.

QueenKubauOfKish · 03/06/2019 11:41

Trump hates Khan because his position massively threatens Trump's racist agenda and attempts to make Americans terrified of Muslims. He has been saying things that are hugely offensive to Muslims from the start and spreading awful lies about ghettoes and British cities where the police are too scared to go and all that shite.

I can see the argument that Khan could be more grown up about it, but OTOH as mayor he has to be seen to stand up and defend our society and the reality of what Britain is actually like - actually pretty integrated for the most part, especially London.

It would be worse for Khan to suck up to him IMO. He's doing a Hugh Grant in Love Actually and standing up to him, someone has to.

Alsohuman · 03/06/2019 11:43

Trump thinks he’s God. Vile, arrogant creature.
