For the hard of thinking, 6 months before the London Bridge attack, Khan said:

“Part and parcel of living in a great global city is you’ve got to be prepared for these things, you’ve got to be vigilant, you’ve got to support the police doing an incredibly hard job. We must never accept terrorists being successful, we must never accept that terrorists can destroy our life or destroy the way we lead our lives.”

Immediately after the attack, Khan said:

"We are all shocked and angry today, but this is our city. We will never let these cowards win, and we will never be cowed by terrorism."

Trump is a racist and is stupid enough not to even attempt to hide it, whereas Khan has taken exception to Trunps racisms and his treatment of children at the border, as well as Trump fanning the flames of the far right. To say they are both as bad as each other is totally unfair.

Islam a phobia is arguably a form of racism. The working definition by the All Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims is:

I would have thought Islamophobia is similar to anti-Semitism. I suppose anti-Semitism is a form of racism but it's more specific. The hatred expressed by that poster is very specific to Muslims. She might well be racist too obviously.

You can quibble it, because there isn't a unanimous view, but I'm happy to go with the above definition, that Islamaphobia is a form of racism.

But you're right that some Islamaphobes will target people of various skin colours. I even know a white, Christian woman who has received Islamaphobic abuse from strangers (because she has alopecia and sometimes wears a headscarf).
