Is Donald Trump ill? Otherwise what would explain such imbecility?

Has he missed some 💊 on his international flight? Who visits someone and promptly pisses on the doorstep? His comments about Sadiq Khan are beyond disgraceful. Disgusting creature.

Dewdew it was about his colour, Ffs.

Gth1234 · 03/06/2019 22:39

WTF?
Obama did attract a huge amount of vitriol in the US. Not the least by a certain Donald J. Trump.
Obama was intelligent, articulate, kind, knowledgeable, a gentleman.
Trump... well... is none of the above. Plus he has vitriol for anyone who doesn't love him or who challenges him in any way. He is vritriol.

In truth, the difference was:
Obama was and is part of the politics game. He was lauded for who he was and what he was, not what he did. It suited a lot of people to treat him as the messiah.

Trump is not part of the politics game, and is upsetting most of the swamp,, but not the people who put him in power.

Our system is so different that its incredibly hard for an outsider (Farage) to achieve the same. But you never know.

dreamyspires · 03/06/2019 22:41

Two vile men together.
Dewdew As presidents go Obama didn’t receive anywhere near as much vitriol as others before him. It proves his colour was no barrier.

Koolbeans · 03/06/2019 22:45

@dreamyspires erm, Obama received death threats based on his race...

Koolbeans · 03/06/2019 22:47

I'm sure Trump can handle a balloon in comparison.

Dewdew · 03/06/2019 22:51

Obama received loads of vitriol. I agree that, outside of Fox News, Trump gets more than any previous presidents, but he's brought that all on himself (and frankly, deserves more).

longwayoff · 03/06/2019 22:58

Time for bed sheffield, school tomorrow.

He doesn't think before he speaks and is hardly statesman like. He's fucking dangerous, so yep he attracts vitriol because he dishes out so much.

Wouldn't trust him with crayons

PickleC · 03/06/2019 23:02

Obama faced all sorts of abuse, and not going to claim he was a saint on every singlw policy. But out of every other President he is the only one who also faced constant suspicion about his place of birth and had to produce a birth certificate. And even then it didn't stop. It was clear racism and Trump was front and centre of that campaign. Sent dozens of tweets about it and had the brass neck to then blame Hillary for it all. Shameless.

dreamyspires · 03/06/2019 23:04

I think most presidents do tbh. Look at what happened to JFK. People hate, regardless of colour.

ginghambox · 03/06/2019 23:50

All hail Saint Obama, Probably the worst POTUS ever.

Dewdew · 04/06/2019 00:05

Who in here is hailing Obama as a saint? I found his tenure fairly unremarkable, although he did come off as a charismatic, dignified and likeable.

But that's for providing an example of the vitriol.

bluewavysea · 04/06/2019 00:27

I think Trump and Khan are both full of hate. Trump doesn't disguise it. Khan keeps his well hidden.i wouldn't trust either of them.

PerkingFaintly · 04/06/2019 00:28

but not the people who put him in power.

Such as Robert Mercer. Now there's a happy billionaire.

PickAChew · 04/06/2019 00:31

Sadiq Khan is too brown for the bigot that is trump. Was never going to looj good.

GoFiguire · 04/06/2019 06:40

Why was Obama such a bad president?

Lweji · 04/06/2019 07:15

Because he didn't sort global warming, didn't achieve world peace and spoke too many words.

Pk37 · 04/06/2019 07:56

He’s always been surrounded by yes men and has been caught up in his own hype .
His confidence is actually verging on terrifying.
He’s like a headstrong toddler

morallybankruptme · 04/06/2019 08:09

He's always been a bit of a prat.

Koolbeans · 04/06/2019 08:39

Trump needs help. He's like the insane family member who gets wheeled out at Christmas time and sits in the corner shouting random abuse at people. Back in your box, Trump.

NeverEverAnythingEver · 04/06/2019 08:43

Like Father Jack? Grin

escapade1234 · 04/06/2019 09:22

I can’t believe this Trump balloon.

It is just appallingly rude to mock a foreign leader in this way.

Did anyone dare to send a balloon up when we hosted the Saudis recently?

The young people who are doing this might want to read a history book or two and then learn something about diplomacy and politics.

escapade1234 · 04/06/2019 09:23

And of course he’s a prat - I don’t dispute that for a moment.

BertrandRussell · 04/06/2019 09:23

“The young people who are doing this might want to read a history book or two and then learn something about diplomacy and politics.”

Or another book about the proud history of peaceful protest?
