Is Donald Trump ill? Otherwise what would explain such imbecility?

Has he missed some 💊 on his international flight? Who visits someone and promptly pisses on the doorstep? His comments about Sadiq Khan are beyond disgraceful. Disgusting creature.

I'm indifferent to Khan, but seeing people condemn him is infuriating.

He, like a lot of other politicians, condemned the proposed Muslim ban. Trump went all in on retaliation against Khan, in a way he didn't against other that condemned him (probably because Khan is a Muslim).

Trump then used he terror attacks in London as an opportunity to attack Khan and spread fake news (which is absolutely disgusting conduct).

Regardless of what Khan is like as a mayor or politician (and not being a Londoner I don't follow him closely), I'm glad there is someone in our politics with enough of a backbone to stand by their moral convictions and hold the President of the US to a standard of basic decency.

Not like BoJo the Backpeddaling Buffoon.

FudgeBrownie2019 · 03/06/2019 19:40

we all need to deal with people we don’t like in work, it’s tough.

Absolutely. But when the person we don't like is also a racist, homophobic, mysoginist bigot spouting views loudly on social media, it's equally acceptable to hold them accountable for their utter bullshit. If Donald Trump worked a day at my school my Head Teacher would have him removed faster than Miss Trunchbull could lock a child in a chokey because his opinions aren't just harmless opinions, they're the vile rhetoric of someone who doesn't belong in 2019.

This isn't a personality clash, this is someone brazenly working their way around the world causing deliberate harm to politics and religion as often as he humanly can. He deserves to be lambasted publicly.

lljkk · 03/06/2019 19:41

BoJo licks Trump's ass.
Trump licks Kim's ass.
Great world we live in.
(sigh)

ForalltheSaints · 03/06/2019 19:50

Trump is disgusting, not ill. Considering him ill is making an excuse for his behaviour.

He should not have been afforded a state visit- there are others who should not have had one either, but that is no defence.

PerkingFaintly · 03/06/2019 20:01

Khan has done a little video with Elle magazine...

SADIQ KHAN CONDEMNS US ABORTION BANS IN NEW ANTI-TRUMP VIDEO TO MARK STATE VISIT
www.independent.co.uk/life-style/women/trump-uk-visit-sadiq-khan-us-abortion-ban-law-feminism-london-a8941916.html

To coincide with the visit, the London Mayor addressed Trump directly in a short clip for ELLE UK, arguing that the US leader's views are completely at odds with those upheld by the British people.

“What we are seeing in the USA is a rolling back of the reproductive rights of women,” Khan said of the restrictive abortion policies that have recently passed in conservative states such as Ohio, and Alabama, where legislation was passed to ban terminations in nearly all circumstances, including rape and incest.

“We’ve got a situation now where some states in the USA are making it almost impossible for women to have the right to an abortion,” Khan continued.
[...]
Khan concluded his powerful video by calling on men and boys to stand up for gender equality.

Sadiq Khan raised legitimate concerns about Trump's politics. It's not "childish" to point out the problems with his views and policies, in fact remember when the world didn't start to criticise National Socialism until it was too late? (It's the reason Trump is bloody visiting). It takes people with integrity to stand up and say these things.
It is however childish to call someone a "stone cold loser" and make slights about their physical attributes.

I really do hope someone has the balls to say something to him.

fromsheffieldtobrighton · 03/06/2019 20:10

Khan is a mayor, not a world stage politician of by any stretch of the imagination. I'm amazed Trump even knew who he was.

Khan has presided over a city with an ever rising crime rate and he thinks it is funny to float a big balloon of a politician-on a state visit-that he doesn't like. So funny..maybe, if he was 17.

One might, if not forgive him-think there might just be a little want there-and overlook his foolishness but alas, that is impossible to do.

That's because, when he was a less than brilliant human rights lawyer, he took the part of some very shady people.

I'm afraid his shit well and truly sinks and he is pretty stupid to draw attention to it. Odious little prick.

Dewdew · 03/06/2019 20:12

It's petty, but I'd love it if Khan actually took Trump up on his IQ test challenge.

There's a reason Trump has issued threats against his old schools to stop them from releasing his grades.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/06/2019 20:13

Attacking Khan is just a way of taking the attention away from Trump and his appalling views/policies.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 03/06/2019 20:24

How? If anything it makes people talk even more about Trump in general and his appalling policies in particular.

Not mentioning the fracas between the two would be a much better way of doing it.

goose1964 · 03/06/2019 20:24

I'm in a number of groups on other sites and from what I can gather is that trump is addicted to adderall, and has been for a number of years and that has addled his brain to the extent that he's in the early to mid stage of dement6

People who detest Trump aren't generally attacking Khan. Its Trumps Brexity supporters in this country who will criticise Khan. Khan representing the metropolitan elite of course. Hmm

Dewdew · 03/06/2019 20:30

They don't like Khan because he was a human rights lawyer. They'd rather side with a human rights abuser.

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 03/06/2019 20:33

Not sure about that.

I detest Trump but I also dislike Khan and I'm definitely not a Brexiteer.

But, for argument's sake, even in the case you described it still doesn't help Trump's case to have that spat continually in the news.

PerkingFaintly · 03/06/2019 20:35

Who are all these posters saying "Khan flew a balloon"?Confused

He didn't.

A group of protestors flew the Trump baby blimp, and they did so in London and in Edinburgh. They also flew it in the US, in France and in Argentina.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Trump_baby_balloon#Copycat_balloons

A different group of protestors flew a balloon of Sadiq Khan in London – who doesn't seem to have been particularly bothered by it.

So my question to the posters saying Khan flew a balloon is, "Where are you getting your 'news'?"

Cherrysoup · 03/06/2019 20:36

Historian
@simon_schama
did NOT hold back on his criticism of #Trump in his appearance as commentator on
@bbcnewschannel
on president’s arrival at Buckingham Palace. He described him as an abusive, infantile bully and said he’d “most certainly” be joining anti-Trump protests.

Love it. 😂 Says it all, really, bar missing out the bit about him being as thick as pig shit.

limitedperiodonly · 03/06/2019 20:36

I wonder if Harry will. I'm not a great fan of Harry but he is a bit of a maverick and Donald Trump bitched about his wife and then lied. Protocol is everything but my husband would have a go. These are exciting times.

PerkingFaintly · 03/06/2019 20:39

(To be fair, most posters have used slightly different language. But trying to claim the Trump baby blimp is somehow Khan's responsibility is just false.)

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/06/2019 20:40

Trumps supporters know his views they still support him.
Brexiteers know the dangers to the NHS and to British jobs leaving the EU creates. They still support Brexit.

It is utterly entrenched. They see themselves as railing against the elites, a workers revolution, saying it as it is. Defending nationalistic values after decades of "virtue signalling" and the PC police. All bollocks of course but they won't be told.

Lweji · 03/06/2019 20:42

he thinks it is funny to float a big balloon of a politician-on a state visit-that he doesn't like

He probably does. I do and I'm not 17.
But he is not responsible for the baloon.
If you want to fly a Khan baloon you'll probably be granted permission too, just as long as it doesn't cause inconvenience, is not dangerous and (guessing) pay an admin fee.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 03/06/2019 20:43

I also find it remarkable that the patriots aren't offended by Trumps lack of protocol with the Royal Family (walking in front of the Queen, telling Charlie where to stand). How dare he!

fromsheffieldtobrighton · 03/06/2019 20:45

How lovely for them, @GhostofFrankGrimes, to have those selfless, pure, ethereal beings who are willing to tell the great unwashed what is good for them.

How they should bow their uneducated heads and, as you say, "be told" and how terribly annoying that they won't.

That patrician line doesn't help anybody.

fromsheffieldtobrighton · 03/06/2019 20:46

Is that so? Could I fly a balloon of a giant arse shitting out a Khan shaped turd?
