Is Donald Trump ill? Otherwise what would explain such imbecility?

Has he missed some 💊 on his international flight? Who visits someone and promptly pisses on the doorstep? His comments about Sadiq Khan are beyond disgraceful. Disgusting creature.

it is a fucking insult to call the President of the United States and leader of the free world a fascist.

Why, when it's true?

limitedperiodonly · 03/06/2019 15:55

I expect gth1234 will say Schama is one of those self-hating Jews Helmet

IsabellaLinton · 03/06/2019 16:04

Yes, he’s just like them, the fascists that murdered hundreds of millions...

What babble you all talk.

Thallo · 03/06/2019 16:06

Yes, he’s just like them, the fascists that murdered hundreds of millions...

Fascism is an incremental process.

IsItBetter · 03/06/2019 16:11

People here saying that they are disappointed that Khan stooped to Trump's level, well I'd say vice-versa - Khan is a nobody on the international stage who is just acting as a provocateur, a left-wing troll.

Why give him the oxygen of publicity?

Dewdew · 03/06/2019 16:12

Cmon, he's only stolen around 5,000 children from their families as a warning to other immigrants and attempted to ban a race from his country, people shouldn't say things that could be construed as insults. Hmm

AhhhHereItGoes · 03/06/2019 16:13

He's a staunch Republican with no filter.

I think that says it all.

limitedperiodonly · 03/06/2019 16:13

What would your granddad, who was on Sword Beach aged 16 on June 6, 1944, say about you if he was alive today IsabellaLinton and could hear you claiming to speak on behalf of everyone who resisted Fascism during WWII and denying people the right to call a Fascist when they saw him?

I know what my dad, who may have been in the same landing craft (or maybe not), would have said.

Sadiq Khan has not been a great mayor for London:

1) He spends much of his time on luxury holidays and not in London

I looked this one up. All I could find were a million whinges, mostly in the Murdoch-owned Sun, that he took a long weekend in Morocco earlier this year

2) He has zero presence and we never see him anywhere, ever.

I see him plenty. For instance, he was on the scene at Grenfell a hell of a lot more quickly and usefully than Theresa May.

3) He has put very little imagination or flair into encouraging business to come to London

What exactly do you think he should have done, particularly given the massive handicap of Brexit-induced uncertainty?

4) He is basically completely invisible unless he is tweeting about Trump

If you think he's invisible, you are closing your eyes to the facts. Johnson attracted more publicity, but he was a lousy mayor and essentially the publicity stunts were a smokescreen.

5) He has done nothing at all to address the serious issues of knife crime, cyclists being killed every day on the roads, pollution or any number of things that are important to our lives every day.

Again, not true. Road deaths in London have in fact fallen to the lowest on record; as for cyclists being killed "every day", last year the total number was 12. As for pollution, we now have the Ultra-Low Emission Zone, money made available for electric car charging points to be radically increased, local low-emission zones and traffic reduction initiatives, steps to make public transport and taxis low or zero emissions capable, low pollution initiatives around schools etc etc. Knife crime is a serious problem, but what magic wand do you suggest Khan waves given the massive budget cuts for the Met and for youth worker initiatives that the government has imposed?

And, before you suggest it, I have no direct or indirect connection whatsoever with Khan. I simply keep my eyes and ears open and read the news.

Isatis · 03/06/2019 16:16

Khan is a nobody on the international stage who is just acting as a provocateur, a left-wing troll.

He's speaking out in his capacity as Mayor of the city Trump is visiting. He's entitled to do so. It's fascinating that Trump supporters are so desperate to shut him up.

IsItBetter · 03/06/2019 16:18

No one is desperate to shut Khan up, he can say whatever he likes - it's the preserve of the hard-left to try to censor and shut down freedom of speech.

What people are questioning is why Trump is giving the nobody free publicity.

Isatis · 03/06/2019 16:20

Yes, he’s just like them, the fascists that murdered hundreds of millions...

There was a point when Hitler hadn't killed anyone and was simply going around making speeches about the master race and how anything bad in Germany was the fault of the Jews. Was he any less of a fascist at that point?

Dewdew · 03/06/2019 16:21

Yeah Donald Trump would never get any publicity if Khan didn't sometimes criticize him.

limitedperiodonly · 03/06/2019 16:22

If you think Sadiq Khan is hard left, you haven't been paying attention

NeverEverAnythingEver · 03/06/2019 16:25

Haha. The elected mayor of one of the biggest cities in the world is a political nobody.

MaxNormal · 03/06/2019 16:25

Sadiq Khan gets absolutely disgraceful abuse online from right wing trolls and racists.
It's fucking shameful that the President of the United States is among their number.

IsabellaLinton · 03/06/2019 16:27

@limitedperiodonly

He agrees with me.

limitedperiodonly · 03/06/2019 16:30

So that's two of you IsabellaLinton.

Isatis · 03/06/2019 16:32

My father, who was also on those beaches and died quite recently having retained all his marbles to the end, despised bigots, racists, and people who try to suppress free speech, and he particularly despise Trump. He would hate to think Trump was purporting to honour him.

Lweji · 03/06/2019 16:35

Yes, he’s just like them, the fascists that murdered hundreds of millions...

Are we supposed to only speak against fascists who kill hundreds of millions?

BTW, even WWII didn't reach 100 million, including holocaust victims.

So, we can't speak against Hitler either...

Dewdew · 03/06/2019 16:36

Lol @ 'hard left' Sadiq

Writing for The Spectator, the political commentator Nick Cohen described Khan as a centre-left social democrat,[157] while the journalist Amol Rajan termed him "a torch-bearer for the social democratic wing" of the Labour Party.[158] The BBC describe Khan as being located on the party's soft left.[159] In an article for Al Jazeera, the Marxist commentator Richard Seymour described Khan as a centrist,[160] while Matt Wrack, the General Secretary of the Fire Brigades Union, characterised Khan as belonging to "that part of the Labour Party that was in government under Blair and Brown".[161] The journalist Dave Hill described Khan as a social liberal.[162]

IsabellaLinton · 03/06/2019 16:37

@limitedperiodonly

Well done, two of us... two of us what? Grin

Dewdew · 03/06/2019 16:37

Khan is only 'hard left' to those who think anything other than far-right is hard left.

limitedperiodonly · 03/06/2019 16:38

And on a completely shallow point - why was Melania still wearing her hat when she had tea and cake with Charles and Camilla? You take it off and leave it in the cloakroom. It's not as if the Buck House staff are going to pinch it.

Lweji · 03/06/2019 16:39

Yes, he’s just like them, the fascists that murdered hundreds of millions...

What babble you all talk.
(see comment about number of WWII deaths) It seems that the babble isn't on the other pps side. Or Trump the only imbecile.
