Anyone know where this is from?

I'm willing to accept now that it was just a popular pattern in the 80s / 90s. If it was from a TV show or album cover the internet would have found it by now.

It’s a very typical design of the time with variations of it on loads of things.

I rummaged through my box of 1980s stuff and my vinyl collection in the loft and couldnt find it. I agree with the hypothesis that there were loads of similar patterns about in that time and that's why we all "recognise" it.
