Duran Duran single / album cover for Rio?

TransFannyUltrasound · 01/06/2019 05:13

Boswell’s duvet cover.

TransFannyUltrasound · 01/06/2019 05:14

That’s very crumpled due to missing ironing board.

Twernip · 01/06/2019 05:18

Pretty sure my sister had a ring binder for college with that pattern.

MyOtherProfile · 01/06/2019 05:36

This is so familiar. Is it a stationary set from WH Smith's?

mabelisable · 01/06/2019 06:38

The picture I'm visualising has 'cartoon' people drawn in an angular style and black angular wording. On a record sleeve.

FaithInfinity · 01/06/2019 07:22

This is really bugging me! But I am associating it with a TV show where the title was in front of this print in a jagged black box? Also I think maybe it was the cover for a WH Smith scrap book I used for a school project.

Bluejeantreefrog · 01/06/2019 07:34

Coach/train seat patterns? Sending me mad now!

MaverickSnoopy · 01/06/2019 07:39

This is driving me mad! Baby has been up since 5am and I have spent most of the time trying to work out where I know the picture from. I even dug out my saved by the bell dvds and sat and watched the opening and closing credits from each season - it's definitely not that. Older children came down at 7am asking what I was watching lol.

I really recognise the image specifically. I know it's on a skateboard but never had one myself nor did any of my friends. The image is on something else that I don't recall. I'm inclined to think a book or cassette of some kind. Possibly one of the inside pages of a funfax.

Apolloanddaphne · 01/06/2019 07:39

I suspect it is just one of those patterns that was everywhere during the 80/90's.

squirrelnutkins1 · 01/06/2019 07:57

There was the same thread last night

Thanks for ruining my life OP.

mamaoffourdc · 01/06/2019 08:50

This has gone viral! one person copied the pattern and got some search thing to scan the internet, it came back with 36 billion images scanned and no match! apparently this pattern was so common in the 80s 90s that we all familiarise it with something.....

FookMeFookYou · 01/06/2019 08:55

Is it fresh prince?

MC68 · 01/06/2019 11:00

It’s an album or single cover from the 80s....I’ll try & remember which one & get back with it!

WobblyLondoner · 01/06/2019 11:51

My first thought was an album or single cover from the 80s. I think it was a wide border with a photo in the middle. Argh! This will drive me nuts.
Bananarama?

Eliza9919 · 01/06/2019 12:00

Another vote for that filofax.
That was my first thought.

Eliza9919 · 01/06/2019 12:02

It's not the filofax

MC68 · 01/06/2019 12:19

My initial recall was Bananarama too! 😁👍🏻

Oysterbabe · 01/06/2019 12:22

Yes the picture is from a skateboard but the pattern is taken from something else. I had an instant strong memory of seeing it before.
It seems like most people instantly think Saved by the Bell though which makes me think we're all thinking of that.
