Stationery is what keeps coming to me too. I was really into stationery, still am, and although the whole "Memphis" style is familiar, this particular one is VERY familiar.

PointlessUsername · 02/06/2019 00:27

I am now thinking of it being something to do with a tv programme that was like teens on a boat showing you how to make stuff?.

I don't know what it is called though?.

ZiggyB · 02/06/2019 01:15

The zig zags look like Woodstock’s hair (Snoopy’s friend)

Train or coach seats ?

LurkerDaysAreOver · 02/06/2019 02:40

First thing that pops into my head is the Rugrats

MyOtherProfile · 02/06/2019 04:00

Now I'm picturing little cartoon people who look like Fido Dido but wore suits with big shoulders, almost triangular shaped bodies. In the back of my kind I associate these with the pattern. I'm sure they were to do with some band. They looked like they were dancing.

MyOtherProfile · 02/06/2019 04:01

Anyone know what I'm talking about, and if it's associated with the original pattern?

sashh · 02/06/2019 05:11

It looks to me like a Memphis style wallpaper, I bet it was in someone's bedroom in an 1980s show which is why it is familiar to so many people.

RedForShort · 02/06/2019 08:23

First thing it reminded me of was a ring binder. (Who knows how similar the pattern actual was, ring binder is long gone somewhere!)

Where did the picture come from @Twotome? Is it in a quiz or somewhere else?

Wondering if we'll ever know what the answer is actually supposed to be!

Cannyhandleit · 02/06/2019 08:31

BusterGonad · 02/06/2019 14:25

Everyone YES it is the skateboard but we are all looking for the ORIGINAL SOURCE if there is one!

Coxie2006 · 02/06/2019 14:43

It reminds me of an Australian TV show in the 80's called Sweet & Sour.

TheAverageJuror · 02/06/2019 14:46

For some reason it sayas Friends to me😮

minisoksmakehardwork · 02/06/2019 16:34

Could it be public transport seating pattern? I'm having a look because as with so many, it feels really, really familiar but the answer is just out of reach.

RedForShort · 02/06/2019 17:00

Do you think if you watched Saved by the Bell now, you'd think Zach was actually a total git? Like I did when I re-watched Ferris Buler's Day Off and cottoned on he was selfish and nasty to everyond.

redspider1 · 02/06/2019 17:24

Is it a single cover from 80s/90s? Looks familiar.

TheKitchenWitch · 02/06/2019 17:24

It’s a generic 80s pattern, there were loads and loads of similar ones all over everything.
My DH is German and recognises it, do it’s definitely not (just) TOTP or Smash Hits etc.

redspider1 · 02/06/2019 17:28

Who asked the original question? It's been on Twitter too. Will we get an answer?

munchkincity · 02/06/2019 17:44

Ring-binder is the first thing that pops into my head too!

Ski4130 · 02/06/2019 17:47

It’s a jacket in TKaxx - I’m a member of a TK Maxx group on FB, and this chap posted yesterday Smile
