It's just that question really.

OP posts:
BertrandRussell · 02/06/2019 13:04

“What are your views on your question then? Do you think that it is a good idea?”

Yes. I think it’s a brilliant idea. I think training to be any sort of HCP should only be open to women-apart from a token 5% men who will provide a “flying doctor” service to be parachuted into any situation where a man had been specifically requested. You got me- the truth will out.

Wow. OK.
Only open to women except for a token few.
Don;t know where to start with that. To say you're usually a poster for so called equality, you're not really, are you if so?
Unless you're trying to be sarky. If so why can't you just answer the question normally?

S1naidSucks · 02/06/2019 13:14

BertrandRussell, just give up. You know they’re practically tag teaming and deliberately misconstruing everything you say. Grey rock.

Frusty · 02/06/2019 13:15

We are all posting from our current perspective of course - at the end of our lives we may well find ourselves in a hospital with all intimate care being carried out by another person. I know my own dm was concerned about this towards the end. She didnt just want the "best person" touching her, she wanted a woman. Well she'd have preferred to have needed noone, but you know what i mean.

DecomposingComposers · 02/06/2019 13:15

There you go then - you agree with your statement. So what was the charade about with you saying that I was misrepresenting you, reading your mind, and that it wasn't what you said?

Utterly bizarre.

FFS lol. Grey rock, grey rock if it's something you don't want to listen to. It's utterly bizarre behaviour Confused
Why should there be segregation like she wants? Why want to take the choice away from others?
We should all have the choice and that's the way it should stay.

Exactly Confused

I also think that the male HCP should be paid half what the women are paid. They should also wear leg irons and live in a special camp. They will be chosen for their resemblance to Alan Rickman, and take turns to be my personal sex slave when not tending to the needs of people requesting a male HCP.

DecomposingComposers · 02/06/2019 13:24

This thread is just like threads on the FWR boards - posters claiming to be feminists, upholding women's rights etc but actually all that they want is for everyone to think and do exactly what they say. Do, not much different to a patriarchal society then, except that it's women controlling other women rather than men.

There's a thread running at the moment about acrylic nails that has disgusting comments posted on there from stalwarts of the FWR board. At least they are being calked out this time rather than revered as they normally are. But seeing it on here now.

OP asks for individual preferences. We answer and then get told that no, how dare you. You must be a man. You must do what we say or you are trying to take our choice away (even though my choice has no impact on your choice, but, you know, whatever).

Is this what feminism is about then? Removing choice from women and making them conform to what you want?

DecomposingComposers · 02/06/2019 13:25

Bertrand

Use sarcasm to deflect all you like. As is so often said on certain boards "we see you".

Yep, all of this! It's utterly bizarre.

TheGoalIsToStayOutOfTheHole · 02/06/2019 13:28

I would generally prefer a female HCP for intimate exams. However I don't really go out of my way to request one and have had a few intimate things done by blokes. Interestingly, my personal experience has been that males are much gentler..however I would still overall prefer a woman.

As for the 'transitioned' argument, sorry no, I don't see males who have had surgery or whatnot as females either.

LimeKiwi · 02/06/2019 13:29

Definitely seems to be coming across that way.

BertrandRussell · 02/06/2019 13:35

“Use sarcasm to deflect all you like. As is so often said on certain boards "we see you".”
You don’t seriously think that I think anyone should be forced to receive health care from someone they don’t want, do you? If you do- why???? Why would I possibly want that?

insidev · 02/06/2019 13:37

Bertrand Grin I agree though, give it up. Some people are just goady and there's no communicating with them.

LimeKiwi · 02/06/2019 13:41

Not being goady at all, just find it utterly bizarre why somebody who is for feminism wants choice to be taken away.

DecomposingComposers · 02/06/2019 13:44

Forced, no. Do you want men removed from certain aspects? Yes, I think you do. Do you want female drs for female patients to be the default? Yes I think you do.

Because that is the cumulative effect of your posts across this thread and when you are questioned about it you back track and say you didn't mean it. Yet, the same common tone is there in all of your posts.

You are doing the same now. In order to deflect from your post you've posted a series of ever more ridiculous statements but it's clear what your true feelings and has been from when you posted about men being excluded from "women's issues" like periods and childbirth.

insidev · 02/06/2019 13:46

See? Smile

I don't know why, you're the one who said segregation should be for some things but go all sarcastic like you didn't say it when you're asked.
Why do you want to take the choice away? You tell us. We can't mind read.

LimeKiwi · 02/06/2019 13:47

See?

Yes. Yes, we can see. Clearly.

LimeKiwi · 02/06/2019 13:51

It's really illuminating when there's different viewpoints and out on AIBU instead.
Instead of all voices saying the same thing.
How is women telling other women what is best for them any better?
Let us choose for ourselves. Which if it was default your way of segregating for some things you're taking the choice away from others.
The way it is now, we get to request who we want to see, Which surely is better?

BertrandRussell · 02/06/2019 13:52

“Why do you want to take the choice away? You tell us. We can't mind read.”

You obviously think you can mind read!

DecomposingComposers · 02/06/2019 13:53

Not at all. Just reading the words that you have written.
