(Btw there's a reason why Johnson's crony Darius Guppy is still a household name: it's because white collar criminals of that social rank hardly ever go to gaol.)

Politicians can actually be put on trial for lying now? Because if what Boris said during the referendum campaign qualifies, then surely nearly every MP should be in court. Which I'm not necessarily opposed to tbh.

I don't think this prosecution will go anywhere, but I wouldn't mind seeing politicians held to account when they lie. We wouldn't accept that from any other profession
