AIBU for quick traffic

what would your immediate actions be?

  • they are scared of their dad
  • they don't want to go to their dads because he shouts
  • their dad is aggressive and angry and breaks things when they do something wrong
  • that they're sad that daddy broke up with his girlfriend because that means they have to be on their own with him
  • that their dad pinned them down with his foot and wouldn't let them move even though they were upset
  • that they are scared to talk to mummy about it because they don't want daddy to shout at mummy (they're not together)
  • daddy breaks their toys when he's angry
  • daddy uses swear works
  • daddy says nasty things about mummy
  • I wish I didn't have to go there

Surely the school will just report to the same people. It's utterly heartbreaking that it's not being taken seriously.

Shameful. Mum needs legal advice

BenjiB · 05/06/2019 09:21

Definitely talk to the mum first. Her mum can then report it to SS. I’d never go directly to SS if there was another option first.

BenjiB you need to read the thread or the previous page at the very least!!

forumdonkey · 05/06/2019 09:54

Late to the thread but just wanted to add that @AbbyHammond advice was spot on and parents should be informed by professionals unless there is a risk to the child

cindersrella · 05/06/2019 20:23

And this is why so many children get abused and fall through the net... speak to the school, they will have a process that they will have to follow as it's safeguarding...

TheAngryLlama · 05/06/2019 20:30

Op thank god for people like you who try to do the right thing.

Unfortunately I'm not surprised.
My son (6 at the time) was attacked by XH's 'stepchildren' (who were 14 and 18)
I stopped contact immediately,Police and SS not interested in the slightest.
Now I'm being dragged through the courts so he can have contact.

It may be worth the Mum seeking help from the school, I would advise stopping contact unless there is already a court order in place, In that case her hands really are tied. I really feel for the Mum and for the wee girl obviously.
