It is honestly bothering me now I have thought of it - how did they become the main three flavours?

I miss pistachio ice cream which is quite a common flavour where I'm from in all supermarkets and gelato shops. There's even a pistachio magnum ice cream 😍😍

Pistachio is my favourite. But the cheap sweet kind not the kind that’s almost savoury with lots of actual nuts in!

It's not just ice cream though is it? Yoghurt, custard, milkshake ...
Coffee ice cream - not 'cafe latte' but proper COFFEE ice cream used to be delicious. But if you can't get it (and you can't) I like rasberry, or rum and raisin.

And a coffee milkshake too!

You can get pistachio ice cream in Waitrose. It’s lovely

If you like Rum and Raisin, try Malaga ice cream. It’s basically the same, but with sweet wine instead of rum - bloody delicious 😛

Waitrose has its own brand pistachio ice cream (green) and have just got in pistachio gelato which is properly brown (DS turned his nose up at it) and full of nuts.

I’ve just bought the new Waitrose raspberry trifle ice cream I can wait to try it! In the park near me they do a chocolate coconut ice cream it’s delicious. Anybody been to Wallings?

@AndNoneForGretchenWieners Gino Ginelli was the best. My fave was toffee fudge. I buried my childhood hamster in a tutti frutti box. About 15 years later DM accidentally dug it up whilst weeding. We plucked up the courage to take the lid off together. And there he was, dear old hammy, flat as a pancake but preserved like one of the finest mummys in the British Museum 😁

icecreamsundae32 Mint choc chip was my favourite flavour as a kid still is. We rarely had it as we were children so it was either orange or lemon ice lollies or Mini Milks for us while the grown ups had choc ices. I had a slice of Mint Vienetta one day at a friend's house and dreamed of it for aaaaages. It's still one of my favourites, can't resist it. DMIL knows and gets it in especially for me .

Rhubarb cordial goes a treat with vodka.

Because if they're good they are the best. Haagen Daz Vanilla (especially with fresh raspberries), any kind of luxury chocolate, and strawberry from Luca's in Musselburgh. Yum.

All this talk of pistachio ice cream has reminded me I have a tub of kulfi in the freezer.

As for choc, strawberry and vanilla.. It's got to be cost surely.
