It is honestly bothering me now I have thought of it - how did they become the main three flavours?

Turkish Delight ice cream sounds amazing!

Pear Swedish glacé is delicious!

I reckon it’s because choc vanilla and strawberry were the most popular favourites for a long time.

My personal favourites are Haagen Dazs Vanilla Caramel Brownie and Ben & Jerry’s Coconutterly Fair. But I now have a Ben and Jerry’s recipe book and ice cream maker, so make my own

Coffee ice cream is by far the best.

Followed by pistachio and naice vanilla

Vanilla, Chocolate and Strawberry. The original neapolitan - Sunday afternoon with cling peaches in syrup, bread and butter and Sing Something Simple on the wireless.

The only other flavour I remember (early 60s) was banana or chocolate lolly - all the others were flavoured ice lollies.

Urgh, I own an ice cream shop and I swear all people want is bloody vanilla. DULL!! Our top seller by a long way is an ice cream which is vanilla with pieces of honeycomb and salted caramel sauce. It is the mutt's nuts.

Oh and our Northern Irish customers call honeycomb ice cream "Pooh Bear". Something to do with an ice cream shop in Belfast?

I had a rhubarb ice cream at the Eden project once. Delicious. Never seen again.

I had a brown bread ice cream at Harlow Carr gardens, it sounded interesting. It was ok, nothing special and didn't taste of bread.
I like coffee, pistachio, blackcurrant and hazlenut the best. We have a dairy nearby that makes its own ice cream, I sometimes go there.
