Ostentatious family garden time?

My next door neighbours seem to think it is. Every night they bring their toddler out about this time and then loudly whoop and shout joyous declarations at such things such as him kicking a ball or them all dancing in a circle clapping their hands.

It’s really annoying

mammatino thank you! Smile I'm definitely not quite where I want to be with parenting but it's probably always an upward hill for most of us most of the time!

I didn't think the post was directed at special needs or at myself... I just wanted to mention it here because I think it can be so easy to judge, I used to do it!
Especially because it's really not immediately obvious that my child has special needs at a distance of say 20 feet or if you don't see him for more than a few minutes at a time.
He looks strong and healthy with clothes on and when playing.
He can be 'chatty', happy but also a lot of the noise is made by him screeching and I think people must think 'God why doesn't she make him stop making that noise?' But I have tried, even been quite tough on him about it... and he just can't help it. It just makes it worse! X

ProfessorSillyStuff(((Hug))). How old is your DS? I hope life gets a little easier for you with age or help x

I think ‘out & about’ it’s mostly quite obvious when I parent is doing it ‘for the child’ or for ‘everyone else’. There’s a difference in body language for starters.

You sound lovely and not the least bit like one of the ‘look at me, aren’t I fabulous’ performance parenting twats.
