I'm not under 30 and I think they're amazing!!

IHaveBrilloHair · 17/05/2019 21:53

I own these, Dd17 calls them my toddler barn dancing shoes.
I don't care, I love them.

I love both pairs and I love your style OP. I would wear them but have size 9 feet so would look like a hobbit/deranged clown.

TarquinGyrfalcon · 17/05/2019 21:54

Thank you @ObvsItsNotMe - sadly I can't see them in my size but I shall keep looking.
Enjoy your new shoes - you're going to look fab in them

AndItStillSaidFourOfTwo · 17/05/2019 21:58

I like them - the style much more than the colour, admittedly. They look really comfortable - I could see myself in them.

Ivgotasecretcanyoukeepit · 17/05/2019 22:01

F*ing Disgusting is putting it rather mildly they’re ugly shoes. Who on earth wears shoes like that. 🤮🤮🤮

kalinkafoxtrot45 · 17/05/2019 22:03

I like ‘em! My feet love comfy clompy shoes.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/05/2019 22:03

Harness your inner Elvira-Mistress of the Dark and tell him "When I want your opinion I'll beat it out of you".

TheFaerieQueene · 17/05/2019 22:06

If you like them that is all that matters.
😉

AmeriAnn · 17/05/2019 22:08

I found them on line and hope they ship to the U.S. They look so comfy.

IndigoHexagon · 17/05/2019 22:12

I may also have just bought them. Thank you x

letsgomaths · 17/05/2019 22:14

I saw a 30-something woman wearing a red pair, with white socks, and I thought: I've got to have 'em! I didn't know how to find them online, but then I saw a pair in Schuh, and looked closely at the name. Googled, bought, worn: my pair is navy blue, which I wear with pride, and always without socks. My pair don't have the star-shaped hole - three small holes instead. I had red ones with double buckles as a child, which I liked, although I was made to wear white socks with them, when I kept wanting to put them on my bare feet. Sad

I like them, so shoot me! Now you'll know how to spot me. It's nice to feel the air on my feet, but nobody can see whether my toenails are painted or not. Wink

MilletSentToForceIt · 17/05/2019 22:40

I love them, but I do think that with this sort of style you have to be careful that you don’t look mumsy. I am too old for them sadly. I think I would look not so much mumsy as grandmumsy!
They remind me of a pair of DM sandals that I wore for years, with baggy dungarees and lots of campaign badges. My DH tells me I also used to put multi coloured glitter on my face (I honestly don’t remember this).

Ihatehashtags · 18/05/2019 03:25

Very babyish. I had a pair nearly exactly like that but red when I was three.

thatmustbenigelwiththebrie · 18/05/2019 04:47

They remind of my school shoes when I was a nine year old girl in the 80s. Sorry.

PollyPelargonium52 · 18/05/2019 04:47

They look good to me. Modern. Each to their own however.

OhFFSMary · 18/05/2019 05:04

I love them, have similar ones in black. I also own multiple pairs of dungarees. What I am rapidly running out of is fucks to give about what people think about how I dress or whether I look ‘frumpy’ or not. I’m mid forties, I work with a bunch of people who don’t care what I wear to work (super un-judgey) and finally I wear exactly what I like and feel happy in.

Embrace your baked bean shoes OP. They are ace.

BonAccordSpur · 18/05/2019 05:21

Look like atheletes foot waiting to happen

echt · 18/05/2019 05:24

I like the first pair, they look comfortable as well as stylish.

Another teacher here, though 64.

ACPC · 18/05/2019 08:23

I'm in the ugly camp too op but I said that about Uggs when I first saw them and now own several pairs. Blush

OhDearGodLookAtThisMess · 18/05/2019 12:33

Hmm. Sorry, no. Just no.

Blueeyesdarkhair · 18/05/2019 12:43

I’m recalling being in class 2, 1982. Mrs brown was my teacher and my mum made me wear shoes like these or mothercare Jesus sandals, and what I really wanted was a pretty pastel coloured pair of wedge sandals with bows Grin.
I think if you are quirky you might just pull these off.

FloofyDoof · 18/05/2019 12:58

They remind me of a pair of shoes that my mum made me wear when I was about 9. They were bright jade green, similar style, bought from BHS in 1985/86. I hated those shoes so much!

goose1964 · 18/05/2019 13:00

They look like the school sandals we all wore in the 70s

formerbabe · 18/05/2019 13:00

I know there's more to life than looking good for men, but if you're single and celibate and wish to remain that way, they may be a good way of achieving it.
