OP...I forgot to say that my OH also has some...Start Rite navy blue ones They no longer go up to size 6 as they used to do as presumably they are considered school shoes and no size 5 child would be seen dead wearing them.

But yea...OH does get a few looks when wearing them

Go for it! I'm fed up of wearing my 'mum uniform' and have been buying lots of random things that I'd never thought I'd wear. I figured life is too short to care what other people think and if you feel great in them why not!

I had a black dm version of those and loved them.

I love both those shoes! Mind, you I'm 58 and spend my life either in Docs or Fitflop slides; I suppose I'm pretty arty/boho in general. I really don't understand why so many British women just want to fade into an uncomfortable boring beige background.

They're hideous on an adult but I'd love them on a small child. Ugly shoes can be cool so wear them with pride!!!

I wore them in public. Sockless. No fatalities 😁

I really like them and much prefer them to Perspex "fuck-me" shoes or those awful glittery thin as string sandals.

I'm stuck if the only shoe options are mutant toddler or perspex fuck me shoes.

I like them but they'd have to be a different colour so they'd match my clothes.

I think these are far preferable to the current teenage trend of socks and sliders.

Love the orange red or reads and the gingham checks! I have doc marten Mary Janes from years ago with teardrop cut outs that I dyed red. They're fab.

I'll be wearing them today with a grey linen dress,, white leggings, long moss green cardigan and silver accessories. There may be mass casualties.

Off into town today to peruse Birkenstocks to wear with old TOAST dresses for the summer.

My DH occasionally and shamelessly wears these in the summer, as if to pretend he's six years old. Perhaps he and I should team up: him in old school plimsolls, me in Red or Dead, and pretend we're a pair of overgrown kids!

Do they make those in adult sizes?!
