Yikes Shock

NotMeNoNo · 17/05/2019 19:50

They are ace.

Chunky shoes are a look. There's more to life than tripping around in little gold stilettoes.

Also: men get to wear flat, toe-accommodating , supportive shoes all the time. We shouldn't have to make an excuse for wearing the same.

They remind me of Angulus justa which I love

LilFGS · 17/05/2019 19:52

The guy in the shop was rude...but he was right.

ObvsItsNotMe · 17/05/2019 19:52

Ah! I LOVE those!

They look like old school shoes but I wouldn’t say “ fucking disgusting “

justasking111 · 17/05/2019 19:53

These are an exact copy of my school shoes, direct rip off from Clarks childrens shoes. Red or dead designs this season would be great for school children.

I don’t mind them (for reference I’m in my early 20s lol) but I’d put them with tights rather than going barefoot. Tights and dungarees or a skirt IMO.

Cloverisover · 17/05/2019 19:54

Another fan here.

Keeoe · 17/05/2019 19:55

I love them. I have quite a few pairs of RoD Jades. So comfy and go with everything.

YouJustDoYou · 17/05/2019 19:55

I have zero sense of style. I see a dress and think, ooo, love that! Then 10 grey haired lovely ladies all come along one after the other to touch the fabric and coo over it, inevitably buying it. But, meh. I have no idea what I'm doing, but if I like it and the comfort and price is right, it's fine by me :)

Marilynmansonsthermos · 17/05/2019 19:56

Sorry op I think they would only look good on a gorgeous teenager, they are the only ones that can get away with the ugly shoe/clothes trend! Well you may be a gorgeous teenager for all I know!

TheBigFatMermaid · 17/05/2019 19:57

I was brought up in Street, the home of Clarkes. I had to wear 'wear tests', shoes given to us to test out and they looked nicer than those! I bet they're comfy though!

KnitFastDieWarm · 17/05/2019 19:58

I like them! They wouldn’t totally fit with my style but I think they’re fun and I love the colour - with dungarees and a sense of irony they’ll look great.
Also, rude bloke was rude. As if you give a fuck what some strange man thinks about your footwear Hmm

starbrightnight · 17/05/2019 19:58

Not sure about that link. Try again... upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/11/Clarks_Joyance_1950s.jpg

ObvsItsNotMe · 17/05/2019 20:03

I'm not a gorgeous teenager. I'm a middle aged "interesting " ugly. But I'm owning it. Sort of. Anyone have a large brown paper bag I can borrow?

Nodney · 17/05/2019 20:04

Ive got them! I love them and wear them with jeans. No one ever comments on them either way, not that it would make a difference to me anyway! Actually, my Mum doesn't like them...

CuriousAboutChicken · 17/05/2019 20:05

I really like 'em!

NunoGoncalves · 17/05/2019 20:09

The good thing about being a grown up is you don't have to care about what strangers think of your clothes anymore!

Beautiful3 · 17/05/2019 20:10

I love them.

AlexaAmbidextra · 17/05/2019 20:16

Hideous. Well you did ask. 😄
