ooh my dad had some like that for school when he was 6 ... in the '50s Grin

RockySpeed · 17/05/2019 18:39

I wear those for work and LOVE them! Good choice op

ObvsItsNotMe · 17/05/2019 18:40

They are quite big.. wide I suppose.. but very comfy.. I wouldn't wear with socks I don't think.. but I'm never very sure about visible socks.. oversized dungarees I totally would.. but I'm many sizes too big.. and I'm 48 so that may well be why I like them. They are a bit "Dick and Jane" I feel. Nostalgic memories perhaps?

I like them. Is that bad?

Atalune · 17/05/2019 18:41

I think they look like clown shoes!

Burt each to their own Smile

aposterhasnoname · 17/05/2019 18:42

They are identical to my safety shoes at work, except the colour obvs.

Tryingandfailing · 17/05/2019 18:42

I like them! I have similar in black that I wear to work. I actually relish wearing my chunky shoe, makes me feel good haha.

I really love orangey or red shoes so I might have to invest in a pair like yours!

VanillaCoconutDove · 17/05/2019 18:42

Don’t they get a bit whiffy without socks? It’s very enclosed over your foot. But granted the ‘look’ wouldn’t be enhanced by a sock.

SlinkyDinkyDoo · 17/05/2019 18:42

Never mind an opinion on the shoes, what a fucking rude dickwad that guy was.

I have similar in blue from a few years ago. 1970s childhood.

sleepyhead · 17/05/2019 18:42

I love them if you have very little feet. I'm a 6 and suspect they'd give me clown feet.

ObvsItsNotMe · 17/05/2019 18:43

I also bought these from Fly London. I may be completely damning myself here Grin

Looks great!🤩

Thallo · 17/05/2019 18:43

Grayson Perry's Claire would wear them as part of her school uniform.

SlinkyDinkyDoo · 17/05/2019 18:44

A dream if you have bunions

Loopytiles · 17/05/2019 18:44

Retro, I can see them looking good if you have an arty type style for example. My DM can look great in stuff like this, I can’t carry it off!

Happynow001 · 17/05/2019 18:45

I really like them - they look so comfy and I could charge around in them. The only thing is maybe would like a thicker heel but maybe a pair of orthotics would do. They also remind me if the shoes I used to wear to school - comfy and healthy for the feet. Put them and forget them all day. Where can I get a pair?

BettyBooJustDoinTheDoo · 17/05/2019 18:45

If overgrown toddler is the look you are going for you have definitely achieved it OP!

Loopytiles · 17/05/2019 18:45

They are like 1970s’ German kids’ shoes.

tierraJ · 17/05/2019 18:46

They are like retro primary school shoes sorry

Hellbentwellwent · 17/05/2019 18:46

Christ op don’t take the stickers off!

TheWernethWife · 17/05/2019 18:47

I love them, they look fabulous and super comfortable. I used to wear Kickers and now keep longing for a pair. Usually live in converse or skechers.

Lookingforpizza · 17/05/2019 18:48

I think they’re cool, depends what you wear them up with.

RogueV · 17/05/2019 18:48

I really like them!

CaroDickFace · 17/05/2019 18:49

I love them! But I am also a Pod lover!

buggerthebotox · 17/05/2019 18:50

I like them! And yes, they're exactly what school shoes used to be like.

Net they're really comfy. Go for it!
