To ask how to sleep, with him across the road??

Across the road from us is a junkie. Thank God we don't have any dcs because he truly is terrifying. We have found needles across the road from us, we found what looks like a diy Molotov cocktail burned in our gutter and he has stolen our bin and many other neighbours bins and filled it with his kitchen. He smokes meth out on the footpath and he watches us, including the neighbours come and go.

We've spoken to our MP, the council and housing authority because it's government housing and he's going to be there at least another month. My DH and I have work all day tomorrow, terrified he'll break in if he notices the cars are gone and rob us and hurt our cats :(

We have dogs thank God, they have to stay outside while we are at work.

All we can do is lock our front doors and windows, roller shutters down

Meth? Are you sure?
Not common in the uk

Crackhead maybe. No reason why an addict would be out to hurt animals.
I’ve worked with many an addict and they generally just go out stealing quick cash items for their next hit

Meth on the other hand is crazy, have you watched breaking bad?

TigerTooth · 18/05/2019 21:51

Bloody hell - you should see my neighbours, he’s just a junkie, that doesn’t mean he’ll attack you, or animals. Get a grip.

Jogonandshutup · 18/05/2019 21:59

How can you keep your dogs outside knowing you have ‘him across the road’? Get your dogs locked in poor things 🙄

VampireSlayer19 · 18/05/2019 22:03

The magnify glasses sounds funny but how ya it constructed- any chance of the sun causing a fire?

Teacher22 · 18/05/2019 22:07

Pedant alert.

Those, OP, who think you want to sleep with a meth addict, have failed to notice your use of a comma.

Silly them.

Yorkshirelady · 18/05/2019 22:14

Where on earth do you live? Can you move?

OldUnit · 18/05/2019 22:15

@Teacher22

Pedant alert.

The comma in the thread title was originally missed out by the OP and added in sometime later by MMHQ, as pointed out within the thread.

This thread is more entertaining than Eurovision

Get a ring doorbell and call 101 and log your concerns

Teacher22 · 19/05/2019 05:09

I had not read the whole thread through to see the correction and did not know that punctuation could be corrected en route by MN.

MrsFoxPlus4 · 19/05/2019 05:16

If your in the UK I can see why people are concerned about dogs being outside with the amount of dog thefts going on. Can’t speak for anywhere else. I want to see his homemade giant magnifying glass

Angelil · 19/05/2019 08:02

;And this is why we need commas.

No, this is why we need syntax and grammar. Punctuation actually doesn't come into it.

ShowMeTheKittens · 19/05/2019 10:36

Having lived above a similar lunatic. I'd be tempted to move. Or just her CCTV.

This should have been titled

‘How to get funky with a junkie’ Grin
