He’s not a man of the people- he’s one of the elite. He’s a wealthy ex broker who wants to privatise the NHS. He has earnt a massive salary as an MEP but barely turned up. He’s a con artist who is actually pretty racist and unsavoury.

Am tired of seeing him on TV - he cares nothing for the poor of this country. I wish he would go away never to be seen again.

If people are stupid enough to fall for the con man, that's one thing. If they are determined to bring me and my country down with them, they deserve every bit of opprobrium I can direct at them...

Gone2far · 16/05/2019 15:49

Go for it. I'm sure it's really useful.

DorisDaysDadsDogsDead · 16/05/2019 15:53

Like I give a sh*t.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 16/05/2019 15:56

.and the only specifically pro-Remain party did much worse

Yeah

Because people hadn't been told that the general election was a rerun of the referendum

Wont be making that mistake again...no siree, every vote moving forward im going to vote as if it was a rerun of the referendum

Its gonna make watching Britains got talent a bit of a challenge...

TeacupDrama · 16/05/2019 16:03

if they politicians had integrity about not delivering brexit, they should put their hands up

Note when the brexit referendum bill was put to Parliament it had the support of all parties bar SNP the vote was 544 to 33 so all major parties except SNP were in favour of referendum it was just not a Tory David Cameron thing though they proposed the bill

A proper apology along the lines of

"We are really sorry we have put the country through so much turmoil we gave a referendum without thinking how we would implement it, we did not foresee the result when we should have realised it was really close and planned better. We are sorry we promised to deliver the result both before and after the referendum and again in our election manifestos of 2017 , we acknowledge that we promised to do this, but we now think it is not achievable we need to consider how we move forward

we accept that many are deeply disappointed and angry that we promised to do things we have not done and that three years later there is still no solution"

scubadoobie · 16/05/2019 17:03

Lets get one thing clear: Farages' stance on Europe is a shtick..... he's a grifter who got into politics for the money.... just like the thug Stephen Yaxley-Lennon. Have at this; it's old but it clearly shows his near disbelief at the coin he was grifting as an MEP. And don't forget; he tried and failed seven times to get on the Westminster gravy train. That he's being advised by Bannon (note his hyper aggressive performances on TV, especially when asked awkward questions..... his followers lap this sort of stuff right up) and backed by the Kochs should be a warning enough for any decent-minded to run like fuck in the opposite direction from him.

Anyway, here you go:

theneweuropean.co.uk/top-stories/nigel-farage-boasts-about-money-from-mep-job-1-6049103?jwsource=cl

If his motives were pure, I could respect that, even though I passionately disagree with him on pretty much everything he stands for, but they very clearly aren't.... so fuck him and his shystering. His supporters are only useful idiots to him.

Swimsuitbod · 16/05/2019 17:45

@Langrish and anyone else getting leaflets they don't want in the post... If you write "unsolicited mail, return to sender" and circle the address of the party office (which has to be printed on the flyer by law), then the Brexit Party party in question will have to pay the postage for each flyer returned. Grin

badlydrawnperson · 16/05/2019 17:48

@Swimsuitbod Would it be OK to tape the leaflet to a piece of depleted uranium do you think?

littlemeitslyn · 16/05/2019 18:39

The language lessens the impact.

littlemeitslyn · 16/05/2019 19:25

The eloquence in these posts is amazing

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 16/05/2019 19:33

Ds1 has just asked me to hook it out of the bin

Im deeply suspicious

He says its to solve an argument he is having....but i have my doubts

Langrish · 16/05/2019 20:33

Swimsuitbod

Yes, did that, thanks. Wasn’t quite so polite in expressing my opinions after circling address and writing return to sender though. The postman may blush.

Goawaywillya · 17/05/2019 00:57

Lol no YANBU
I don't read articles about him I just look at the pics of his ridiculous facial expressions. He looks constipated half of the time 😃😃

twofingerstoEverything · 17/05/2019 07:41

WalkingDownMadison Vote Brexit if you believe in democracy. Even left-wingers (like me) should support the party that delivers the referendum result.
This comment gives us a good insight into a Brexiter's strange thought processes. The Brexit Party will not be able to deliver anything because they will not be sitting in the UK parliament, which is where any decisions about Brexit, whether to have a people's vote etc, will be made.

badlydrawnperson · 17/05/2019 08:24

My vote in the EU elections would be different depending on whether I think we will actually leave or not. If we are leaving I can vote in a way which signals my wishes - but I wouldn't want to vote for a single issue party if we're not leaving. It is an impossible and stupid situation.

We should never have been given a referendum when there was only one answer the politicians and businesses were prepared to accept.

longwayoff · 17/05/2019 08:38

Scubadoobie, well put and 100 per cent correct.

badlydrawnperson · 17/05/2019 08:51

I also agree with Scubadoobie's analysis - Channel 4 News last night showed up Farage for what he is, and who's paying the bills.

longwayoff · 17/05/2019 08:55

Vote Brexit supporters if you believe in delusion, Madison.

VoteJadot · 17/05/2019 09:15

the party in question will have to pay the postage for each flyer returned

If you're feeling particularly energetic you can sellotape to a brick first Grin

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 17/05/2019 09:39

Absolutely

Langrish · 17/05/2019 20:33

Anna Soubry is magnificent on Any Questions this evening, particularly putting a nasty, racist piece of work in the audience firmly and directly in his place. It’s radio, we obviously couldn’t see his reaction, but I hope he felt as stupid and humiliated as he deserved to (especially with the enormous backing for her from the audience).

(For reference: he shouted out that he couldn’t see anything wrong with Boris Johnson saying certain Muslim women look like letterboxes and bank robbers).

pigsDOfly · 18/05/2019 13:01

Agree Langrish, Anna Sourbry is great, I've been a fan of her for some time now.

Unfortunately, Change UK is just a tiny handful of politicians and tbh I really can't see how they're going to change or achieve anything, certainly not with regard to stopping us leaving the EU.

longwayoff · 18/05/2019 13:36

Just heard Anna Soubry in Any Questions, good for her. Encouraged by the huge applause she received.

Mysterian · 18/05/2019 14:13

The OP is being rather mean...

...to the poor people of Fuck. They already have an embarrassingly named home, tourists nicking the signs etc, why send Farage there as well? Especially Outer Fuck, with it's beautiful countryside views.
