Mine cost £95 which I don't think was that bad for about 100 items

I just did a food shop 2 minutes ago. It was £55. I then had a £5 coupon which made it £50 and then £1 delivery. So £51.

That's food for 2 adults, two preschoolers (who get fed at childcare three days a week) and £6 of that was laundry powder.

I shop at Sainsbury's.

Lazypuppy · 13/05/2019 20:53

£40 for 2 adults and a baby for a week

HBStowe · 13/05/2019 20:53

£200 per week must be crippling!

We don’t eat meat or much dairy, which is a big saving. And we cook pretty much everything from scratch, so no expensive jars etc. We don’t drink a lot so most shops don’t include alcohol, which makes a difference.

We can easily spend £150 on one dinner party if we’re in the mood, but our weekly spend varies from £45 to £60. And I feel like we eat pretty well / luxuriously!

Ikeameatballs · 13/05/2019 20:55

Have just spent £115, 2adults, dc 13 and 9. No alcohol.

Sup3rCooper · 13/05/2019 20:58

About £170 which is about average for us. Two adults and a nearly teen.

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 13/05/2019 20:59

How do people spend £60-£70 a month for a family and eat fresh food? Does that amount not include laundry, cleaning, pets etc? Even shopping at Aldi I can't do that and cook from scratch

MetalMidget · 13/05/2019 20:59

£135ish for two adults and a toddler. It's a bit more than I usually spend (normally more in the £70-90 region), but that's because the consumables that last more than a week were all running out at the same time - cleaning spray, nappies, etc. I also bought some hair dye, which I had to claim was 'for a friend' as my toddler gets very cross about the idea of me dying my hair...

InfiniteDreams · 13/05/2019 21:01

We spend between 45 and 50 a week at Aldi. That's two adults, one child, and cleaning/toiletry stuff.

Atthebottomofthegarden · 13/05/2019 21:10

120 for 3 adults and Dd age 11. No booze, no pets, a few cleaning bits but not that much.

MonnieMoo · 13/05/2019 21:10

£120 for 6 of us. Usually have to buy a few little bits and pieces aswell so probably more like £135 in total. I don’t buy pet food with the shopping, I buy in bulk online and that’s £30 a month for the 4 cats.

ichifanny · 13/05/2019 21:12

£110 will last about nearly two weeks and feed a family of 6 which includes a baby with nappies wipes etc

UAEMum · 13/05/2019 21:13

1400 dirhams. So about 280 pounds. It is always around that!

GinisLife · 13/05/2019 21:13

£122 minus a £6 off Tesco voucher. I only went in to get mushrooms 😂. There were very few mea in there. And there's only 2 of us. £20 of it was new cookware.

jcq17 · 13/05/2019 21:14

£42

MissMalice · 13/05/2019 21:14

Also does not help that the only thing I drink is Champagne.

Yes I want to be @Mominatrix when I grow up Grin

Zebedee88 · 13/05/2019 21:16

£201 but that's for 4 adults and 3 kids.

Bella444 · 13/05/2019 21:17

All in, about £150 a week for 2 adults. I shop around but don’t deny us anything as no kids. Also have 2 rather fussy cats 😊

Nuttyaboutnutella · 13/05/2019 21:20

Just over £100. That's for 2 adults and one toddler. More than usual but we've been buying more fresh fruit and stocked up on a lot for freezer and cupboards to prepare as dc2 is due next week.

Placing an order shortly to come tomorrow which is £57.

YesQueen · 13/05/2019 21:21

£60 for me but included laundry stuff, loo rolls and some vitamins/supplements
Probably would have been about £45 without that. For three meals a day for me, I take food to work every day

Villanellesproudmum · 13/05/2019 21:21

£41 that’s 8 evening Meals, breakfast, snacks, fruit, veg, toilet and kitchen roll etc for one adult and one teen.

Notnownotneverever · 13/05/2019 21:24

Essentially £85-100 a week. Sometimes it works out a tenner cheaper if I plan and choose well. £70-75 on a weekly shop plus the top up bits which always happen.

Basically 5 adults (teens eat same as us) plus two cats.
Includes all cleaning, household & cosmetic products too.

whitehalleve · 13/05/2019 21:25

£100 but then I'm in the supermarket topping up every other day.

loveautum · 13/05/2019 21:26

£180-£200 a week online shop for 2 adults and a toddler that doesn't include the lunches I buy when at work 3 days plus I eat out for lunch as well with my DC not sure where it all goes, but we do cook everything and make lots of leftovers.

BenjiB · 13/05/2019 21:27

£130-150. For 3 adults 2 children but I usually do another 20 ish shop for more fruit and veg.

pumpkinpie01 · 13/05/2019 21:28

£76, 4 of us . It’s usually between £75 and £100 and will last 10 days .
