Mine cost £95 which I don't think was that bad for about 100 items

@fairyjuice I'd love to see your £1 meal list.

I budget €750 per month for groceries and usually come in somewhat under that average for the entire year (some months can be well over, some quite a bit under, but it works as an average).

And that includes a lot of fresh food, organic milk, good meat and fish, bread from local bakeries, some convenience food, alcohol, cleaning products, hair and beauty products for the family, etc. We tend to use most of what we buy (sometimes fresh berries are not all eaten, and I have been known to throw out bags of spinach bought with good intentions a couple of weeks before and life got too chaotic...) and use up leftovers a lot. And I know we do spend a lot but we can afford it.

$90 (aud). It's usually a little bit less but I'm pregnant and definitely not doing much to suppress my junk food cravings...

I went shopping on Monday and spent just over €100 but that included a lot of cleaning things and a bottle of gin @ €30. Actually food shop for me can be anything from €15 upwards, depending on what I fancy eating and whether or not I will be spending a lot of time at home.

We do a big online shop fortnightly for heavy items (fourth floor flat and no car) then buy milk, eggs and bread as we need. It works out at about £85 a week for me and adult DD

I would also like to see a list of £1 meals if you don’t mind posting it fairyjuice

Spent more money today, about 6 quid on fresh fruit and nuts.

£90 Shock I have no idea how it cost that much, I even forgot some things
The one before was £45 but I bought takeaway twice which bumped it up

I've done it for £30 for weeks on end before that but am so sick of eating the same dull, boring, repetitive cheap meals based on Sausages, lentils, beans, mince, tinned tuna and eggs on repeat... I really needed some variety protein wise but meat and fish can be so expensive now.
