Mine cost £95 which I don't think was that bad for about 100 items

StormcloakNord · 13/05/2019 21:32

£47.52 was this weeks one. Usually a bit less than that but I fancied changing up our dinners this week.

Theres 3 of us.

Namechange8471 · 13/05/2019 21:33

£28, 2 adults 1 child

user1471449295 · 13/05/2019 21:38

£140, Morrison’s, 2 adults plus for extra person at weekend. Buying ‘healthy’ (cost me more than when not eating healthily)

BlackPrism · 13/05/2019 21:39

Around £110 for two of us (but we bought some booze, lots of condiments and some obscure Japanese ingredients)

Wallywobbles · 13/05/2019 21:42

Family of 6, 200€ with almost no meat, no dog/cat food and zero non food items. Cereal is probably our top cost. They get through a box a day easily.

Expensive were fresh peppers. I'm low carbing so we get through a lot of veg. We have a freezer full of meat. Also have our own chickens for eggs. We get through about 30 a week minimum. Can go as high as 60.

floraloctopus · 13/05/2019 21:42

£40

BlagMyChicken · 13/05/2019 21:45

£130 for two adults, three kids. We shop in Aldi and Morrison’s and buy treats from Waitrose. Lots of fresh fruit and veg, organic milk, free range meat for at least one meal, usually two, st least one fish meal. Packed lunches and snacks for all of us. At least 6 meals a week from scratch (we have ‘slutty tea’ on Saturdays).
Where on earth do people who spend less than £100 shop and what do you actually eat? I think we eat well but not greedily - healthily and responsibly. Meal plans, etc. I can’t see how we could possibly bring it down to anywhere near £100 unless we lived on pasta all week.

Wallywobbles · 13/05/2019 21:45

We've worked out the kids food costs about 3.5k€/child/year. It's a fucking fortune. School meals are 5.90€ a day x4kids x4days/week x36 weeks a year.

I've floated packed lunch but I've been shot down.

troppibambini · 13/05/2019 21:45

£160 just been delivered.
That's for a family of six and a dog and a cat.
It's about average for a weekly shop for us.

Happyspud · 13/05/2019 21:46

£85 but I’ve fish of about £10 to get from the fishmonger later in the week. That’s for 3 adults and 4 kids.

Lovejoyfull · 13/05/2019 21:47

Family of six. No budget to speak of but around £240 per week with a few top ups of £20 or £30 so all in over £300 per week and we eat out maybe once a week Blush but we can afford it, I must admit we enjoy eating well, organic etc. No nappies. Grin

coffeeaddiction · 13/05/2019 21:49

£45 for a family of 3, normally average around £55 per week

Triskaidekaphilia · 13/05/2019 21:52

We do an order every 2 weeks, usually £50-60 but this was £67 as got a few treats for my birthday. So usually around £30 plus £5 top up for bread/milk/veg, but there's only 2 of us and 2 cats. Bound to go up in a few months when our first DC arrives!

Rosielee93 · 13/05/2019 21:55

£57 this week for 2 adults a child and a baby. Thats with baby milk and dog food aswell. But we're eating out thursday and sunday. Usually spend about 70.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 13/05/2019 21:56

£80-100 a week for 2 adults and two DC.

Heymummee · 13/05/2019 21:58

£91.25 which will cover the week for 2 adults, DS1 and 2, including lunch for work for me and packed lunch for DS1. This also included nappies and wipes.

Ivalueloyaltyaboveallelse · 13/05/2019 21:59

Last shop was £100 as brought alcohol.

Thatsnotmyotter · 13/05/2019 22:00

£96 for two adults and a (very hungry) baby, three meals per day and snacks. Cupboard essentials and freezer bits to last a couple of weeks but will have to top up bread and possibly some extra veg. It also had some extras like razors (expensive!).

nanbread · 13/05/2019 22:01

I can't believe some couples with just a toddler spend £250! I honestly don't know how, unless you're throwing a lot of stuff away or eating fillet steak every night?

Ours is less than half that and we buy mostly organic, from expensive local delis etc.

cookiemonster3 · 13/05/2019 22:03

£43 at Aldi turn £18 at ASDA. 3 kids 2 adults all home cooked and fresh food plus ice creams and packed lunch stuff.

TokyoSushi · 13/05/2019 22:05

£92 & for 2 adults & 2 primary age DC, that included steak for dinner in Saturday and some beer for DH

3boysandabump · 13/05/2019 22:06

£135. 2 adults & 4dc. Asda.

EastEndQueen · 13/05/2019 22:06

Probably ends up at around £200 a week - 2 adults, a toddler and a baby - two lots of nappies and unbelievable amounts of formula despite only the baby drinking it! We eat a lot of fresh fruit/ veg and higher welfare meat/fish and I do low carb a lot of the time. We do also tend to have friends/ family over to eat a lot (so we can socialise without getting loads of babysitters for DC) so that tends to include a 3 course meal for 6 at least once a week. Mainly Waitrose/ Ocado with basics from Lidl.

nokidshere · 13/05/2019 22:09

Mine was delivered today and will last just under a week. We are 2 adults and a 17yr old although we often feed my childminded child, his sister and his mum too.

It was £95

No meat
No cleaning products
No toiletries.
No cheese

Just a large piece of salmon
Fruit
Vegetables
Some yoghurts and cottage cheese

I swear Tesco is getting dearer every week.

DramaRamaLlama · 13/05/2019 22:10

£220 which lasted 6 days. Had to spend an extra £15-£20 on bits I forgot.

There's 5 of us - including two teens so that's £2.66 pp per meal. I think that's great value.
