Mine cost £95 which I don't think was that bad for about 100 items

OP posts:
MustardScreams · 13/05/2019 19:39

£130 for dd and I, but that will last 2 weeks roughly.

WonderTweek · 13/05/2019 19:40

77 quid. Except that Tesco's delivery didn't turn up. Angry Ended up spending much more panic buying stuff at Sainsbury's on a Sunday afternoon an hour before the closing time...

Usually though it is around 70-90 quid and maybe the occasional milk/bread top up. This is for two adults, a toddler and a rabbit.

SnugglySnerd · 13/05/2019 19:40

£95ish. That's for 5 including enough nappies for twins plus some dishwasher tablets, cleaning stuff etc. It's usually more like £70 plus a top up of fresh fruit, milk etc at the weekend, another £10 ish.

formerbabe · 13/05/2019 19:42

Yes, we have an American freezer that we have in our garage (well 2 as the other is to freeze ds2 duvet and pillows)

You freeze pillows and duvets?!

I prepare the produce into family quantities, and date them

I'd love to be that organised!

Youngandfree · 13/05/2019 19:42

80 for 2 adults and 2 children (but we had an extra adult last week also) I usually top up milk and bread

winepls · 13/05/2019 19:43

Ours is about £120 a week without alcohol, 2 adults, 3 DCs (14, 11, 6)

With alcohol, because of the aforementioned DCs, about £43,644 a week.

Pops1985 · 13/05/2019 19:43

£45.80 but that with using some freezer food to get us to the weekend. Also doesn’t include lunches. 2 adults and a toddler.

frostybananabread · 13/05/2019 19:43

About £180 a week for me, DH and 3 teenage DC. It's a lot and I'm sure I could get it down with a bit more planning.

MissMalice · 13/05/2019 19:43

£95 for six of us. Two in nappies. I bought too much.

adaline · 13/05/2019 19:43

It's about £80 for two adults, a dog and two cats, but that's spread across Tesco, a couple of top up shops (for milk, bread etc.) and a monthly bulk shop for the animals in Pets at Home.

MissMalice · 13/05/2019 19:44

@Mominatrix I would love to see your shopping list! How extravagant!

InspectorClouseauMNdivision · 13/05/2019 19:45

@formerbabe it kills dustmites so it's really good for someone with allergies. I assume that's why.

WafflingDreamer · 13/05/2019 19:45

Our last shop was £54.13 for 3 meals a day for 2 adults and 2 preschoolers, they take pack lunch to preschool with them and are fruit monsters which bumps the cost up a bit

Iamclearlyamug · 13/05/2019 19:45

31.55 for me and DD7 that's in Sainsbury's

Whereisthegin1978 · 13/05/2019 19:46

Our weekly shop is around £120 for a family of 4 children, 2 adults.

formerbabe · 13/05/2019 19:47

Thanks! I never knew that!

freshasthebrightbluesky · 13/05/2019 19:48

60 in tesco
10 in home bargains
15 in iceland

AllStar14 · 13/05/2019 19:48

£80 for myself and 3 dc. I usually try to keep it under £60, not sure what happened this time!

PickAChew · 13/05/2019 19:48

£150-200 for 2 adults and 2 teens, including booze. Higher welfare meat, lots of veg.

ZippyBungleandGeorge · 13/05/2019 19:53

Around £130 ish two adults and a baby that did include nappies

Fortheloveofscience · 13/05/2019 19:53

£58 for 2 adults. 3-4 veggie meals a week, everything else high welfare. No alcohol because I’m pregnant.

Stiffasaboard · 13/05/2019 19:54

£205

Everybodywantstobeacat123 · 13/05/2019 19:54

£52.22
2 adults and a weaning 9 month old
Loads of fresh fruit and veg and a few naughty treats.
Then around £30 online shop at Iceland on a monthly basis.

Ragwort · 13/05/2019 19:58

I never do a ‘weekly shop’, I can’t stand the idea of planning what I am eating in six days time, that way you end up with up with stew on a hot sunny day or salad when you’ve had to put the heating back on Grin.

We probably spend around £100 a week- 3 adults now that DS is 18, and we include a few bottles of wine. Sometimes we spend more, sometimes less, I am lucky in that I don’t need to count every penny; I was at an event last week where there was some lovely artisan stuff (at exorbitant prices of course) but then tonight I got a load of duck breasts reduced to £1.50 from £6 so they can go in the freezer.

LaurieFairyCake · 13/05/2019 20:20

£150 every week for 2 of us. Mostly vegan ready meals.
