OP posts:
dustarr73 · 12/05/2019 15:41

Brianna Lopez is shocking.I remember watching youtube about er.The amount of injuries she had was sickening. In the end i had to stop watching.Absolutley heartbreaking

darkriver19886 · 12/05/2019 15:41

The Gyspy Rose Blanchard Story. Sounds heartless but, her mother got what she deserved for what she did to that poor girl. The first time that I have had no sympathy for the supposed victim.

The lady with severe depression who murdered her four children.

The little girl who murdered two young children.

Ohnotanothernamechange · 12/05/2019 15:43

The family from Manchester who were killed in arson attack at Xmas 2017. The mum survived but was in hospital for months and missed their funeras. I couldn't get them out of my head for ages afterwards.

woodcutbirds · 12/05/2019 15:48

Breck Bednar. Because his mother did everything she could to try and protect him, including warning the police, sending him abroad, taking away his computer and phone. And none of it worked. It scares the life out of me that a parent can be so caring and protective when they scent danger and still the worst happens. And he went so willingly, so excited by the lies he was told. It's completely heartbreaking.

Peter Connolly (Baby P)
Kelly Anne Bates
Shanda Sharer
Michael Gilbert (Blue Lagoon Murder)
Suzanne Capper
Vera Jo Reigle

Lots more but these ones are particularly horrific

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 12/05/2019 15:57

@ ohnotanothernamechange.
I think their poor mum is still in Hospital. That was another case about a women being harrassed and terrorised but again the powers that be took not a blind bit of notice.
She actually went to the council and begged to be and they basically chased her. Angry.
The baby apparently loved peppa pig and I believe she used to call everyone ..... Pig so for example Anna Pig. Tommy pig. How adorable and sweet is that.

Missing children always play on my head. If a child dies the parents can grieve. However imagine not knowing where your child is or if they're being treated well or not.
There was a little 2 year old who went missing in a Supermarket in Germany on her birthday. She's never been seen since. That was back in 1981. I think her name was or rather is Katrice.
Even if Katrice and Madeliene were found. Katrice especially would have no recollection at all of her parents.
I mean If Madeleines memory was jogged through pictures ect.
She might be able to slightly recall her parents. However Madeleine was almost 2 years older than Katrice and her disappearance was only 12 years compared to Katrices 37.5 years.

There was one in America about 10 years ago where a group of 4 teenage boys (ringleader was Steven Spader) broke into a random house one night and hacked the mum and daughter they found sleeping in their beds with machetes. The court case is on YouTube and they seem to be totally lacking in remorse.

Another horrible one in America too where a woman (Channon Christian) and her bf in their early 20s were kidnapped and brutally tortured and murdered by a gang. The woman was found with something like 70 injuries tied up in black bags in a trash can :-( the court case is also on YouTube. Horrifying!

hoodathunkit · 12/05/2019 16:22

The torture and murder of Suzanne Capper
The torture and murders of Victoria Climbie and Kristy Bamu
The murder of Bijan Ebrahimi
The torture and murder of schoolgirl Mary-Ann Leneghan and the torture and attempted murder of her 18 year old friend
Murders committed by Adolfo Constanzo
Murders committed by the Manson “family”
Murders committed by the followers of Magdalena Solis

Maddy McCann
Holly and Jessica

OutOntheTilez · 12/05/2019 16:36

Another case that haunts me is that of four-year-old Dominick Calhoun from Michigan, tortured over days by his mother’s boyfriend. So many people failed that little boy, including his own mother.

waterlego · 12/05/2019 16:40

So many horrendous ones already mentioned here.

I have always been hugely disturbed by John Wayne Gacy, a very prolific killer of teenage boys and young men in the USA in the 1970s. He was a ‘pillar of the community’ type, and used to volunteer his time for children’s parties and parades and other charitable enterprises, for which he dressed as a clown to entertain the children. I know clowns are quite a common fear/phobia and I think that’s why I found the case so very disturbing. Most articles about him are accompanied by a photo of him in his clown costume.

That and the fact that he committed so many murders in a short time frame, and is one of those killers whose victim count isn’t really known.

CharDeeMacDennis · 12/05/2019 16:46

I think the Rachel Nickell murder was the first one I remember being really horrified by. I'd have been 13 at the time. The image of her toddler witnessing it and being left clinging to her body, and the thought of how terrified she must have been to be attacked with her baby there.

The Lin Russell case too, just out for a walk with her daughters and dog. The sense that something so normal and safe could just be shattered by such absolute horror and brutality.

NoCauseRebel · 12/05/2019 16:50

Harold shipman.

I can’t understand how many people should have raised the alarm but didn’t e.g. with regards to patients who died in his surgery.

Chancewouldbeafinethlng · 12/05/2019 16:50

This one really upsets me. No idea why it sticks out amongst the millions of true crime tales, I think it’s because he had no real reason to do it. I just find it very sad all round.

shartsi · 12/05/2019 16:55

April Jones.

Mrscaindingle · 12/05/2019 17:23

Victoria Climbie and Matthew Shepard both really affected me for personal reasons.

And now Junko Furuta and Kelly Anne Bates Sad

dustarr73 · 12/05/2019 17:33

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steven_Stayner

This always makes me sad.

BlackCatSleeping · 12/05/2019 17:36

Steven Stayner's story was so sad, especially as he really struggled when he returned to his family and died young in a motorbike accident.

His brother Cary turned into a serial killer. A very disturbing individual.

Erosisaprick · 12/05/2019 17:38

Daniel Pelka. When the full details came out at conviction and sentencing, I was on my knees sobbing for him. Sad

MabelMoo23 · 12/05/2019 18:10

Those that haven't read about Junko Furuta. Please please heed the warnings not to google. It's truly horrific. That poor poor girl
