To think that my DD is broken?

I noticed something really odd today, something I can't unsee!
My DD, 3, puts her trousers on before her socks!!

AIBU to think that this is absolutely crazy, and to question if she's even mine

I put my socks on first!!
Socks, underwear, bra, top, pants (or trousers as you lot call them )

Socks on last.

Trousers on first always. Socks before trousers just reminds me of this scene. I had to reeducate DH when we met about it being a bad look to wander round in shirt and socks.

Socks go over not under tight skinnies and leggings surely - otherwise they make an unsightly and uncomfy bumfle? Hence why they go on last.

Sock are definitely on last in my household. Do those of you who put socks on first see them as part of your underwear?

With skinny jeans, socks go on first.

With leggings, socks go on last.

Anything else, do as you please!

The only time socks go on before trousers is with jodhpurs.

Socks last in case you decide it's warm enough for sandals. Obvs.

I put socks on last - usually just before I leave the house!

I do encourage DD to put hers on first though as otherwise she waits til we’re about to leave too and invariably goes through five pairs before she finds the ones she wants!

I agree OP socks on first. I can't imagine putting trousers on first that's insane.

Surely it depends on a) what type of sock and b) what type of trouser?

I put socks on to leave the house, they come straight off when I get in.
I really don’t like them and only wear then with wellies or stuff that rubs

I think that about DS aged 15, he puts on school uniform then shoe sock, shoe sock. Mind you as does DH. I've raised a tribe of non conforming teens.

Socks on first but not fussed if wrong people want to do it the other way round.

Why would you put your socks on before your trousers? What if you dropped dead there and then and we’re found in your pants and socks? Betcha didn’t think of that, did you?

I hector DS daily to put his socks on before his trousers. Every day he laughs merrily and puts his trousers on first. He is a tease.
