To think that my DD is broken?

I noticed something really odd today, something I can't unsee!
My DD, 3, puts her trousers on before her socks!!

AIBU to think that this is absolutely crazy, and to question if she's even mine

Why would you put your socks on before your trousers? What if you dropped dead there and then and we’re found in your pants and socks? Betcha didn’t think of that, did you?

My 4 year old puts her trousers/leggings on first and then socks. She then rolls up the trouser legs so she can pull her socks up as far as possible and then rolls the legs back down. She is definitely weird.

I get it... socks sit better if you put them in before the trousers. You don't have to roll up your trouser leg to put them on.

Depends on trousers! Obviously with skinny jeans it’s socks first otherwise you’d have to stuff the tops up into your trousers...awful. Unless you’re tucking your jeans into your socks!!!??

TBH I'd be chuffed if my 3yo got dressed in any order.

The only thing he's managed to put on himself this week is a pair of trousers. on his head.

Noooo! Socks go under trousers, therefore it makes total sense to put them on first.

But then you have to lift up your pants and your socks don't sit right and it's all awkward. Sock first ensures a nicely positioned sock.

Hey at least she's dressing herself, my son is 5 and comes home from PE every week with all his clothes on backwards and is still utterly incapable of putting on his own socks!

I always tell mine it's much easier to put socks on first, especially DD4 who wears leggings a lot. She is broken.

How do people put them on last with tight skinnies??

Socks last for me too! DH socks and pants together then everything else.

I wear skinny jeans which means socks first then jeans! Else you can’t pull your socks up properly!
