to be super puzzled why my elbow stinks

what on earth...... I am clean. I am always clean. However for the past few days my right elbow (the crook of it) has been omitting a god awful stench. I can't wash it off. It is foul.

It smells like feet and rot and awfulness. There is no broken skin, it just looks like a normal elbow. WTF.

why is this happening? anyone got any ideas? soap isn't doing anything!

Its.called elbowitis. but sadly there is no cure for it as yet !! But try germolene, I put that on everything that's causing concern!!

2am and I'm reading the thread, and trying to laugh silently. Dh wakes up to catch me sniffing my elbows, can hear him whispering "there there like back down" trying to gently pull me back dow .

He thought I was still asleep and gearing up to start my sleepwalking that I sometimes do. He got the shock of his life when I burst out laughing.

He's saying "what kind of tit sniffs their elbows at 2 fucking am" 😂😂

My cure for anything odd and smelly is a rub down of 90% Isopropyl Rubbing Alcohol. Kills bacteria. Not around my bum though, that would sting.

I'm calling bag handle.

Very strange! Glad it now smells like gin, although I fear this may wear off and your elbow return to ming-city again.

Might be worth getting an anti-fungal cream and putting some of that on your elbow ANYway - I once had thrush in my boob but there were no outward signs of it, just deep stabbing pain while breastfeeding. The baby had no oral thrush either, it was very weird - but dosing with canesten got rid of it!

Definitely a fungus infection.

Elbows sniff test undertaken. Thankfully I’m not joining the smellbow club just yet.

Gave my elbow a sniff on waking this morning. That’s a first.

Can you go to smell your elbow, then smell something else with your head in that position, and in the same proximity?

A sinus infection could cause this as configuration of the soft tissue, air flow from your breath etc may pick out a pocket of unpleasantness.
