To ask how much rent you pay?

I was reading this Mumsnet thread about how much mumsnetters were paying each month on rent (2014) www.mumsnet.com/Talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/2049466-To-wonder-just-how-much-rent-you-people-are-paying?pg=1&order=

And I was quite shocked at how high rent rates were back in 2014. Now I am wondering how bad it is five years later?

I rent a 3 bed semi detached house in Warwickshire for £440 a month, in a good area with good schools. How about you?

£780 in south Manchester. Shitty 2-bed terrace - would be about £900 for the same in good nick, we got a bargain (and the single glazing and questionable flooring to go with it).

£550 2 bed near Minehead Somerset.

We have a 2 bed flat in Bristol and charge our tenant £1100 a month, which is standard for this type of property in the location it is.

South East £850 for a 3 bed in a good area. Incredibly lucky. Landlords haven't increased our rent since I moved in as they want good long term tenants. Going rate in our area for what we have is about £1300.

Not telling you, or anyone else

There was a time when no one ever asked about people's finances.

I miss those days

@Eshaar

Any idea on how much rent on Maidenhead? Recently rented a 3 bed terraced house for 1400+bills in Maidenhead. Not sure what we are paying is the right amount.
You’ve resurrected a thread that is over a year old.

It also doesn’t matter whether you think it’s the right amount or not; it’s not a negotiation. They list the property at that price and you have a choice of whether to pay it or not. Not take it and then want it lowered.

You should be scoping out Rightmove if you’ve curious about rents in your area.
