Hi, I'm wondering if pineapple is actually a pizza topping.
Can I have your opinions please!

Not quite as stupid as you apparently

QueenOfTheTofuTree · 01/05/2019 19:26

Oh lighten up 🤣.

I wasn't being completely serious.

But tummy aches aside; no it does not belong on pizza.

Nicknacky · 01/05/2019 19:30

Is daisy actually joking?!

I don’t agree with fruit on a pizza generally but pineapple is....different somehow. And so so good.

QueenOfTheTofuTree · 01/05/2019 19:32

I agree it's different because from a culinary standpoint, we treat tomatoes as vegetables. Same with peppers, they are fruits but we use them as vegetables so it doesn't seem strange to have them on a pizza.

I think she's winding us up. This is the first thread she has posted on.

QueenOfTheTofuTree · 01/05/2019 19:32

Oops misunderstood you Blush.

Motheroffeminists · 01/05/2019 21:06

Yes! I load my pizza up so that's it's covered in toppings. A 2:1 ration of mushrooms to pineapple and slightly less red pepper than pineapple. I get about 3 portions of fruit and veg on my pizzas. There should be hardly any gap between the toppings. Damn it, I want pizza now!

FreeFreesia · 01/05/2019 21:11

My fav combination from the Asda make your own is spicy chicken, ham, pineapple & mushroom. Divine.

ClosedAuraOpenMind · 01/05/2019 21:21

yes yes yes. Barbecue sauce, mushroom, sweetcorn and pineapple. best pizza ever!

KatyHarrison · 02/05/2019 11:03

Does anybody put pineapple on a pizza

OP posts:
Pk37 · 02/05/2019 11:09

Most definitely

SilentSister · 02/05/2019 11:13

Only if you are in the UK.

RavenLG · 02/05/2019 11:18

How did a topic about pizza end up with deleted messages?

OP, I’m not sure how many times you need to ask but yes, some people out and eat pineapple on pizza.

The real monsters are those who put any sort of seafood on a pizza. Warm sweaty fish does not belong anywhere near the food of gods

BeeFarseer · 02/05/2019 11:19

Yes. Yes. A thousand times yes.

My favourite topping is pineapple and mushrooms, with extra pineapple.

bumpsadaisy11 · 02/05/2019 11:23

NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!!!

GCAcademic · 02/05/2019 11:25

I was in Naples recently and saw posters around the city saying "Say No to Pineapple on Pizza. #pizza_activism". I guess that is their equivalent of the Gilets Jaunes and the Extinction Rebellion protests!

Ellisandra · 02/05/2019 11:31

Why the fuck has OP returned to ask the same question on page 5?

Pineapple is obviously a common pizza topping.
Doesn’t matter if you like it or not OP - it simply is. You know that, if you’ve walked into a supermarket in the last 40 years.

Should you have it? Yes, if you like it.
Surprise surprise, some people don’t like it, so they don’t have it.

How much should you have? Careful I don’t blow your mind with but... as much as you want?

Your life just be pretty hard Confused
