Just that really, things for the commute or general stuff you need in the day?
I always seem to massively over pack mine and then never use anything, or unpack it and miss out key items 🤦🏼‍♀️

Purse, umbrella, makeup bag (very basic stuff), collection of lip balms, paracetamol, water bottle, travel mug (if commuting to work), tissues, hair brush, chewing gum, pen, hundreds of old receipts, kindle or a book. Usually also some completely random crap that DC put in there (could be anything from a tiny toy car to a sizeable stuffed toy) and baby wipes because I still use them for EVERYTHING!
My bag is big. And usually quite heavy.

I have an enormous bag that always weighs a ton.

In it: work laptop, charger, work phone, iPad, personal phone, tissues, hand gel, hand cream, car keys, house keys, pens (biro and pack of coloured pens), pad, hay fever meds, painkillers, hair tie, purse, spare contact lenses, deodorant, work ID badge.

1hamwich4 · 27/04/2019 17:29

AHa this is my special pride- a relic of long distance train commuting, I now have a go-bag with most stuff to help me deal with being stuck away from home for a bit, and to get me out of plausible but unlikely sticky situations- like if my bank card didn't work, or my train got stuck in a tunnel.

I found a handbag organiser in Primark which is perfect for the job: it's got loads of pockets and is teeny tiny so it goes in whatever bag I want to use.

So I have:
Pen/notebook/sickbag/glasses cloth and cleaning solution/lipsalve
Paracetamol/small plasters/mini screwdrivers/nail file/pocket knife/folding spoon/mini sewing kit
Tissues/wipes/hand gel/SheWee/nappy bags/tampons/inhaler
Mini credit card torch thingy
Kendal mint cake/chocolate/tin of salt/packet of mints
Purse and phone

And a metal barrel thing on my keyring that I can fit a couple of twenties in- best gadget ever!

My door key also has a utility sleeve gadget over it that has a tin opener, file, various screwdrivers and allegedly some tweezers (but these are shit)

Most useful things are:
Keyring cash stash
Pocket knife
Salt supplies (I hate disappointing chips!)

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 28/04/2019 17:11

Phone, keys, card-wallet, handcream, small cosmetics pouch, deodorant, pens, reading spectacles, sunglasses, hair clips/ties, facial wipes. Sometimes a scent-spritzer, notebook and my iPad.

The good news is I've just snapped myself up a beautiful Osprey tote, one that's big enough to accommodate an A4 file or two, at a knockdown price. It's brightly coloured with a contrasting guitar-style strap on it. I'm in love.

MarieIVanArkleStinks · 28/04/2019 17:11

Oh yes. Crystal nail file. They go everywhere with me.

HavelockVetinari · 28/04/2019 17:21
