Just that really, things for the commute or general stuff you need in the day?
I always seem to massively over pack mine and then never use anything, or unpack it and miss out key items 🤦🏼‍♀️

I currently have a plastic dinosaur and an oversized dice in mine- massively outing if you know me because they've been there for about a year 😂

ElektraUnchained · 26/04/2019 20:06

Loads.

Every time I leave the house: phone, purse, keys, tissues, brolly, water bottle, snack, compact mirror, small hairbrush, multivitamins, other detritus

On work days add laptop, headset, work mobile and notebook.

Normally carry a medium sized handbag and on work days its a rucksack.

justforareply · 26/04/2019 20:06

My handbag is full of nonsense - tissues, lipsticks (up to 7 - I don't clear it out often 😂) lighters, charging cables, perfumes, pens, Filofax, lemsip, foldable carriers....

A purse with about £40 and loyalty cards

Phone with cards - never in bag, nor are my keys. Always by coats/ jackets with decent pockets. It wouldn't be a disaster if my bag was nicked

ElektraUnchained · 26/04/2019 20:07

Oh and always at least one pen, a pair of prescription sunglasses and usually some eyeliner. In the winter, a hat and in the summer, sunscreen.

Neverender · 26/04/2019 20:08

Oh, and always a few bills and my contraceptive pills - god know why?!

OVAgroundWOMBlingfree · 26/04/2019 20:10

Redcrayons · 26/04/2019 20:26

Way too much stuff. I have one of those handbag tidies which you can move from bag to bag. It was supposed to make me streamline and carry less shit around but seems to have the opposite effect.

Paracetamol
Phone charger and lead
Headphones
Purse
Hair clips and ties
Loose change
SAN pro
Pencil case - contains a set of Allen keys (no idea why)
Work notebook and personal journal
Emergency fold up shopping bag.

And receipts for everything I've bought since the beginning of time. for every one I chuck, two new ones appear by handbag magic.

camelfinger · 26/04/2019 20:26

I’ve given up with having a standard handbag and only take what I need when I go out.

School run - 1 key in pocket.
Work - pass, keys, phone.
Out - phone. Sometimes wallet if I need cash, usually use phone to pay. Key.

I don’t bother carrying things round on the off chance. I’m never far away from somewhere that sells painkillers, plasters, water, snacks. I don’t need an umbrella now I’ve got a hood and I check the forecast. I do seem to need pens quite a lot, I get annoyed having to buy them. But generally I love the freedom of just being able to leave the house quickly and not having to lug things around. I leave quite a lot of stuff at work so I don’t need to bring much in.
