Unpopular opinion but AIBU to think that she is talking rubbish? She was on This Morning showing us all how to wash our face and telling us how bad face wipes are. Apparently they just move make up around your face, which is wrong interesting.
Considering it is basically her job to flog skincare, of course she is going to try and tell everyone to ditch them.
Prepared to be told otherwise but maybe she's just been using the wrong wipes 😁

Given that the link I kindly provided which you’ve clearly not bothered to click is dated January, it seems unlikely.

JaneJeffer · 26/04/2019 22:54

You're too kind. I did read it but as I've never had fillers I don't know how long they last. I'm going by what she looks like now.

MsLucyHoneychurch · 26/04/2019 22:59

I'm going to have fillers.

threeishappy · 26/04/2019 22:59

I think good skin comes from within. Eat good food, and you'll have good skin. Sadly I love junk food and my skin looks like shit Sad

Ivegotthree · 26/04/2019 23:01

She was really horrid to a colleague of mine and so I have a strong distaste for this woman.

winc · 26/04/2019 23:01

I think she is great- her Instastories are great ( especially hello with hirons Smile) and for anyone who says she is harsh- she has 4 children, she works hard at what she does. She looks amazing for her age and I hope to god I look as good at her age!

INeedToGetHealthy · 26/04/2019 23:08

I have no idea who she is but my DS1 (disabled) loves to have his facial done with the ALDI cleanse & polish. We use the reusable muslin cloths.

MsLucyHoneychurch · 26/04/2019 23:13

She looks amazing for her age

How to damn a woman with faint praise. Can't you just say she looks amazing?

Key phrase here - “I think”
If only it were that simple to eat good food to get rid of my skin conditions.
For e.g., there is not sufficient enough evidence to suggest eating a healthy diet, and giving up dairy will stop cystic acne. Also, I’m an advocate for eating well but I wish people could understand how it can be slightly hurtful when people are insinuating you aren’t eating well enough and that’s causing your bad skin

DonnaHaywood · 26/04/2019 23:18

"I also crochet white cotton rounds to use instead of cotton wool; they get treated as above once used."

I just peak MN-ed.

TinklyLittleLaugh · 26/04/2019 23:23

She looks amazing for her age.

Really? She looks rougher than all my mates in our mid 50s.

SrSteveOskowski · 26/04/2019 23:37

I don't like her. I think she's very false. Along with her 'bestie' Sali Hughes.

Summerfalls · 27/04/2019 00:19

Her actual skin does look great, I don’t think most people mean how youthful she looks and facial lines, wrinkles etc but how smooth texture wise, healthy, and glowing her skin itself is

Butterflycookie · 27/04/2019 01:07

I think she’s got great skin! Ok so she’s got under eye bags but apart from that her actual skin quality is good.

Eating well definitely helps but sadly good skin doesn’t just come from within!!

I eat incredibly well and do lots of outdoor exercise and walking etc and I have lots of skin issues: hyper pigmentation, hereditary crepey eyes, lines etc. Good skincare makes a huge difference. If I just “splash” my face with water I look rough. If I cleanse it properly then follow with a gentle exfoliation, a really nourishing oil such as rose hip then a really lovely serum and moisturiser I look glowing and lovely.

Whatthefoxgoingon · 27/04/2019 07:47

I think she looks like a lady in her 60s with very well looked after skin. Nothing wrong with that.

IJustLostTheGame · 27/04/2019 07:47

I came on here to say YABU. My skin looks better now than it ever has. I had adult acne for years and now I don't.

Thanks to this thread I shall now be crocheting my own cotton pads

Fridakahlofan · 27/04/2019 08:10

My skin is soooooo much better after switching to cleansing with extra virgin olive oil and a hot flannel. The whole beauty industry is bollocks and terrible for the environment

PrasadsNonDyingDeclaration · 27/04/2019 08:19

For all those saying she looks like a woman in her 60s, I’d love to know where you’re living because that’s obviously where the fountain of youth is located.

Please show me us your mythical 50 and 60 year old friends who look so fantastic and introduce us to their secrets.

popehilarious · 27/04/2019 08:35

Yep, eating broccoli will protect your skin from sun damage Hmm

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 27/04/2019 08:42

Broccoli does protect your skin from the sun, it won’t replace sun cream completely, but it has protective properties.

Of course, selling cosmetics is much more lucrative, and I’m not meaning Caroline-Hirons here, but the whole industry.

Also, good genes are very important, but those are even more difficult to bottle and sell, despite some companies trying to use it as a product name.

Oliversmumsarmy · 27/04/2019 08:46

I never wash my face.

I don’t wear make up but I do shower daily and water running over it is as far as I go.

Used to have fantastic skin.
But then became allergic to No 7 and can’t find anything that doesn’t contain hydrolauric acid which dries my skin out to a crust.

Circlegame · 27/04/2019 08:54

I was surprised when I saw her feature on This Morning as she looked all puffed up with fillers and completely unnatural. She’s 49 btw.

ElspethFlashman · 27/04/2019 08:56

49?

Does she smoke?

I know she's serious about sunscreen, she swears by Clinique.

(God forbid she'd use Aldi sunscreen like the rest of us 😂)

ElspethFlashman · 27/04/2019 08:57

I do suspect half of these ladies are smoking though. It's just taboo to admit it these days.
